V3C4: Getting Ready

*The Next Day*

I woke up with a bit light in my eye.

I sat up and saw my the dorm was empty.

God I was glad to be back.

Luna and Julian went back to they're ship snd awaited orders from General Ironwood.

It was a nice saturday morning so I didn't have to worry about classes.

I got up and threw some clothes on.

Then there was a knock at the door.

I went over and opened it.

I was suprised to see Coco standing there with her hands behind her back.

She smiled.

Me: Whatever pickup line your gonna use, just use it.

She frowned

Coco: Uhm well... Okay...

I laughed lightly

Me: Heh, what is it?

I leaned on the door frame.

Coco: I wanted to tell happy Valentine's Day.

I was confused

Me: Wait... Is it?

Coco: You forgot it was coming up, didn't you.

Me: Yeah. Well I usually don't do that kinda thing.

Coco: Have you ever done anything for Valentine's Day?

Me: Only twice.

Coco: Ah. Well...

She took her hands out from behind her back amd I saw she was holding a bouquet of red roses for me.

Coco: I got these from the forever fall forest. I was going to bring chocolate but decided not to.

Me: Eh I'm allergic.

I stared at the roses

Me: Wow Coco...

Coco: Im sorry if they arent sufficient, but I just thought...

Me: They're beautiful...

Coco: Really?

I hugged her

I dont know why, but I started crying.

Coco: Wolfy? You good?

Me: Yeah.. Its just... No ones done anything like this for me... In... A while...

Coco: Aw Wolfy.

She pat my back

We let go and I took the bouquet.

Me: So what made you think of me today?

Coco: Well Riley finally mustered up enough courage to ask Velvet out on a date, so-

Me: Wait... Finally?

Coco: You didn't know he has a crush on her?

Me: Nope.

Coco: Huh. Thought it would be mkre obvious. So, are you going to open on the day of the dance?

Me: Most likely. Why?

Coco: I was wondering if you would like to accompany me.

Me: Are you asking me out on a date? Like, honestly and for real. No dodgy flirting?

She smiled

Coco: Yes Wolfy. I am.

Me: Alright. We can go to the dance.
