I woke up to the light of a rising sun shining through the window of my dorm.
There was a burning pain in my chest.
I looked up and saw my team looking down on me.
Riley: Hey dude. Wow. This feels familier.
Me: Thats what I was going to say.
I looked at myself and saw my combat jacket was hung up in the closet with the rest of my gear.
I was in grey cargo shorts and a black t-shirt.
Me: What happend?
Izaiah: You fell in the fire.
Me: Aside from that
Riley: I saw you body fall becauss I was in the generator room. You were trapped under some of the wreckage but I got you out. Your aura never went down so we just took you back here.
Zak: Your completely unharmed.
Me: Good on that.
I looked around
Me: What of the Siren?
Riley: They retreated when the airship lost power. We barely got half of them.
Me: Where did they go?
Riley: No clue. They just... Disappeared?
Me: What about team AARK?
Riley: We never found Rain and Ardent. Wes retreated but went somewhere other than the rest of the group. We did find his mask though. And Ares? We never found him. Its safe to assume he burned with his ship.
Me: I wouldn't be so sure-
Riley pulled something out.
It was the broken helm of Ares.
The upper left side was gone and the helmet was charred.
Me: Oh.
Riley: We also found this.
Izaiah handed him a weapon.
It was one of Ares's scythes.
The folding mechanism was broken so the blade sorta dangled.
Me: So... He's dead?
Riley: Yeah. He's gone. Qrow killed him.
Me: Qrow? That bastard.
Zak: Yeah.
Me: Im gonna kick his ass.
Riley pat my shoulder.
Riley: Good luck with that. We'll leave you alone now.
Me: Sure
They left the room and I just layed my head back.
Holy hell did my chest hurt.
After a while, someone knocked on the doorframe.
It was Qrow
Qrow: Can we talk?
Me: Yeah.
He came in and closed the door.
Me: I find myself saying this alot, but you shot me!
Qrow: Yeah. Sorry about that kid.
Me: You know I would've had it if you weren't around.
Qrow: Ares would've killed you!
Me: It was your semblance that was throwing me off. I would've kicked ass!
