The next morning, the dropship landed in the middle of a dense but beautiful forest in Vale.
I was suprised to see team RKAR beat us there.
They already brought they're gear and things, so we just unloaded ours.
I walked up to Reven and nodded.
Reven: Good to be working with you again, Wolfgang.
Me: Likewise Rev. Hows your team?
Reven: Well Kaze hasn't changed much, Aarons been trying to learn how to ride motorcycles ever since he saw the recordings of you and your sister chasing that mech, and Rekar almost got arrested for telling a crying child in a restaurant to shut the fuck up. Something about a public disturbance.
Me: So nothing new.
Reven: Not at all.
Me: Oh, tell Aaron that me and him should race. I'd kick his ass.
Aaron: No you wouldn't!
Reven: Heh.
Then he looked behind me and saw Luna stepping of the ship.
Reven: Whos the girl?
Me: Atlesian Specialist. She was sent as... What you call it?
Luna: A recorder!
Me: A recorder.
Reven nodded
Then Riley came up.
Riley: Thanks for helping us unload, jackass.
Me: I'm team leader! I ain't gotta help! Besides. You have Izaiah.
Riley shrugged
Riley: True.
Me: C'mon. Lets head out.
We walked down the forest for a while.
I was never a big fan of hiking, but this felt pretty good.
We ended up finding a dirt path and traveling on that.
Eventually we came upon an area on the side of the path that had most of the trees cut down.
Not precisly either.
It was more of a weapon than a chainsaw or anything like that.
Riley: What happend here?
Me: No clue...
Luna: Looks like a battleground.
Me: Why does this feel familier?
Riley: Yeah...
Izaiah: Maybe... No...
Then Riley snapped
Riley: Wolfgang! These were your old stomping grounds!
Then I remembered
Me: Your right!
I looked around
Me: Its been years since I've been here. I've been using it since I was sixteen. I stopped when... When... Well... You know...
Riley nodded.
Me: This was before I carried Sabre and Foxtrot.
I looked down at my gauntlets.
Riley: This was when you carried that massive claymore.
Me: Yeah. Daybreak.
Izaiah: That blade was my sized.
Zak: Man you three are making me nostalgic and I've been on your team for barely a year
