Ch. 15
"Oh come on, Mimi! Please! We reaaaaally want to go, but cam won't go unless Shane goes and I know he'll go if you ask him to." I was walking down the hallway when I heard Valerie say. I frowned and turned to see Mackenzie switching out her books. I saw Mackenzie sigh and close her door.
"Well, why doesn't cam ask him, huh? I doubt that Shane would say yes just because I ask him, he has a mind of his own you know." I smiled at her response. That's probably why I like her, er I mean admire her. She isn't one of those girls who are full of themselves and demand from people. She understands that she has no control over people.
"Pu-lease, cam says that boy is whipped, he'd eat out of the palm of your hand." Valerie said. I was going to kill her one day! I'm Shane wilds. I do NOT eat out of ANYONES hand. Besides do you realize how unsanitary that is?
"Oh come on Val. He's a professional boxer. Take it from one, we eat out of no ones hand, besides that's gross, how many germs do you think that person has?" I smiled at Mackenzie's answer. I loved the way her nose would scrunch when she was either grossed out or confused... Wait...that came out like a girl... What I meant to say was....uh...um....yeah....
"So what I know he likes you and you like HIM!" Her friend said . Wait WHAT?
Mackenzie immediately slapped a hand on Valerie's mouth.
"Shhh! Would you keep it down! Somebody might hear you, dumby! Or worse! HE might hear you!" Mackenzie hissed. Holy shit balls batman! Mimi likes me?
"You didn't even bother admitting it! Shane and Mackenzie sitting on a tre K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" Valerie said loudly. That's when Mackenzie punched oh her and put both hands on her best friend's mouth who was laughing. I smiled at Mackenzie's face, which was as red as a tomato.
"What ever, so I like him big deal. He definitely doesn't like me back? Plus! He's my partner in the ring!" She said. After Val sat up free from Mackenzie's hand.
"Did you not learn anything from Saturday? Shane basically told you straight up that he trusts you and that he doesn't care about your past..wait no he does care, but he doesn't care in the sense that he trusts you." Couldn't have said it better myself.
The late bell rang above our head signaling that lunch has officially began. Valerie stood up then offered Mack help.
"Alright well let's go." Valerie said but Mack shook her head.
"Save me a seat, I have to clean out my locker. You know my monthly clean session." I rolled my eyes, what a nerd, I can't believe that she is the strongest woman alive.
"Nerd! Alright! Hurry up though." Val called as she walked off. I was just about to walk to Mack when I saw about six girls walked in. Staying in place I watched what happened.
Mack looked around surprised then she saw Marilyn and she sighed. Her face was all marked up from her uncles visit. Even though they looked a lot better you can still tell a little bit. Now it's Friday.
I flashed back to Saturday.
-We were so close, I felt her breath hit my face and we are not even half a centimeter away when
"Hey! I brought tacos!" -
Damn Cameron, always ruining it.
"So you like Shane, huh? I though I told you to back off bitch." Said a chick that I had no idea even existed.
"Why the hell are you doing this Lindsey. What have I ever done for you to do this?" Mackenzie asked sounding tired.
"You were born." I clenched my fists realizing I can't step in, a
