"Two puff balls and your favorite bows, you look so adorable." I said to Allure after finishing her hair.
"Thank you mommy. I really like my hair. Look at my pink bow. It's mini mouse."
"Yes it is. Now what would you like to eat?"
"Hmmmm—lets see... I would like to eattttt....—-macaroni and cheese, with barbecue chicken."
"Ohhh barbecue chicken you say? Well we're going to have to ask dad to get the grill out."
"But my dads not here... is he?" She asks puzzled.
Noticing what I had said, I paused. "Not rick baby. I meant Steph. He's your dad also."
"So I have two daddies?"
"Something like that, yes."
"So should I call them daddy #1 and daddy #2?"
I quickly tried to develop a response before just blurting any old thing out, and still managed to Botch up the right words.
"It's your choice my love. You just choose which one you feel more comfortable calling—-." Knowing I was going in the absolute wrong direction I nervously corrected myself.
"Sweet girl it's absolutely up to you what you want to call either of them. You can give them numbers OR you can just call them both daddy. It's okay to have two daddies, they both love you very much."
"Well it's settled then. I'll call them both daddy. I like having two daddies."
"You do? Why?"
"More presents and more presents." My Little daughter evilly grinned rubbing her palms together. I couldn't help but laugh.
"You are a very special little girl. And very correct also. Just save mommy some of those gifts. You wanna go out back and play I'm sure your brother and sister already are."
"They always leave me, uhg."
I watched as Allure growled dashing out the door while calling out thank you mommy once she made it half way down the hall.
I set back onto the stool absorbing this special moment that I had taken for granted many times before.
"Sweet love." Steph sung entering there short after.
"Yes my sweet husband."
"What you doing in here say dreaming?"
"Just happy and time stamping every little moment."
"You ain't getting depressed on me are you?"
"No." I smiled as he softly kissed my lips.
"Then you don't have to worry. You'll have plenty more of these moments. Let your worries be mine and gods. Now I'm going to the store you want something?"
"Uhhhh no. I have everything I need."
"You sure?"
"Yes I am, unless they sale better versions of you. I'm good."
"You so got damn corny but I love it." Steph chuckled nibbling at my lips before laying a see ya later kiss on them and exiting.
Per usual I knew If anything was going too good for me. It was probably about to get a little rocky.
Stepping out on to the patio my mother gave me a call that I intentionally ignored before the doorbell gave a ring half a hour later.
"What a pleasant surprise." I greeted not attempting to hide my lack of welcome.
