Chapter 10

I awoke to the cold side of the bed and it had to have been atleast 10:30pm.

Yarning as I looked over at the highlighter green numbers flashing on the clock. I couldn't believe I had slept so long. My heart instantly raced as I dashed out the bedroom thinking just where the hell are my babies!"

The soothing sound of Ms.Youlus's voice coming from Allures room snatched me in that direction, calming me down the closer I got.

"Hey Ms.Youlus. When'd you get here?" I managed to groaned, coughing to straighten my voice out.

She looked up at me with Allure fast asleep like a baby in her arms and smiled.

"Honey Steph called me at 2 and said you were fast asleep. He didn't want to wake you. Said you been ripping and running the whole week. So I let ya rest too. You look rested besides all that beautiful bed hair."

"I can't believe I slept that long. Thank you so much Ms.Youlus."

"Oh I understand. Those twins have you exhausted you sleeping for 3 and eating as well. You should go back to bed all both of the other kids are already in bed. Steph told me you all have a 4am flight."

Just as she said that my mind trailed on the suspicions I had of Steph meeting with Cindy.

"Actually do you mind if I run out briefly?"

"Not at all honey I'm here for your services."

"Thanks Ms.Youlus I'll be right back."

Before going to get dressed I peaked into Powers room and then Gigi's where they both were sound asleep just as Ms.Youlus had said.

I had the entire next hour as I showered and dressed to think about what I was about to do. Betraying my husband's trust and snooping around. But I had nothing to deter me from what I was heading out the door seeking.

Although I was big and pregnant, I was moving as if I were lite as a feather.

You would have thought I had the simplest plan but the nights cold air and street lights did nothing but create space for me to roam.

"Hmph." I let out a growl searching threw my phone for Steph's number before hitting the Call button.

It gave several rings before going to voicemail. Quickly I hung up and hit redial as it rung and rung and rung, before a silence from the other end picked up.

"What's up baby?"

"I'm glad I'm not in labor with one phone call."

"Oh you got jokes huh, I didn't feel my phone. Sorry my queen everything ok?"

"Yes? Where are you?"

"Down at the club, figuring out a few figures."

"Well okay. I just wanted to check on you don't stay out too late. Love you."

"I won't love you too."

Hanging up, I decided to take a detour and ride pass Cindy's house since it was right on my way out the neighborhood.

I wasn't really sure of what I was looking for and if I found it what would I do. But my mind and body weren't correlating, one was saying no and the other was saying go!

The two story brick home had 1 car in the driveway and I was so out of it, I stopped dead in front watching the top bedroom light that was on, thinking I would see some movement. I didn't even care if I got caught, the suspicion I was having of Steph creeping with her would not let me rest.
