I couldn't understand who the hell Angela thought she was confronting me in that manner. If I knew Steph wasn't under enough stress he would've been the first person I called.
Especially after how Rick looked at me. My once calm, was disrupted by those evil sons of a bitches.
Angela's words kept ringing out to me. So much that I ran through an entire intersection while the light was red.
"MOMMYYYY!" Screamed Allure as I slammed on breaks slamming directly into the car in front of me.
"Damn it... Damn it... Damn it!!!— Baby, Lo, Allure you okay?" I asked as she let out a cry that I'll never forget. It wasn't a yelp or a shriek but one that was so soft it hurt.
The smoke instantly began to steam from the impact. I quickly rushed unbuckling my seat belt to get to my baby.
I didn't give a damn about anything going on around me, let alone the car I had definitely hit hard. My mind was on releasing Allure from the car seat.
With tears streaming down her little face I panicked, calling her name over and over apologizing as I carried her away from the smoke, apologizing.
She was holding her neck.
"What is it! what is it Allure? What hurts, is it your neck? Baby tell mommy? What's wrong, talk to me!"
My words were more demanding rather than sympathetic. I was so worried and shocked I just needed to hear my baby speak. But the tears only responded as we both cried.
The world was in a trance. Everything was moving in slow motion nearly. A crowd gathered in no time as a older male called out to me, but I couldn't respond. I didn't care about anyone but Allure.
To hear her finally utter that her neck hurt. Snapped me back into reality, it was a comfort to hear her talk but pain to know she was hurt.
"It's probably jut whip lash, are you all okay other than that?" The male asked.
But the sirens were the only thing I heard as the crowd became larger and larger.
There were two ambulance on the scene, countless cops, and all I wanted to do was know my baby was okay.
The paramedics placed her into the back of the ambulance as I hung up from my mom who would meet me at the hospital.
I managed to ask, "is the person in the other car okay?"
"I believe so. They're just advised to go to the E.R just to get checked out. You're pretty lucky. Just focus on your daughter she's stable and just experiencing some neck pain. Could be whip lash, but x-rays will be performed to be sure. How are you?"
"I'm fine, I'm fine." I sighed finally.
My minor relief was barely anything before I heard a familiar voice speaking to the Paramedics outside.
"Maam?" One of them called to me.
"Yes?"
"We have a male here by the name of Rick who states he's the father of the patient, he wants to ride along but only one of you can come."
"What!! Abso-fuckin-lutely not! I will not let that son of a bitch near my child! Get me out of here!"
"Ok ok- I'll notify him he isn't allowed. Don't upset yourself or the kid. Just relax." He responded shutting the doors of the ambulance.
I couldn't believe the damn nerve of Rick. Why the hell would he even try! My mind was racing 1000 miles per minute, the anger was consuming the hell out of me, but I had to remain calm so I didn't upset Allure.
