I waited to tell Steph about the news for a few nights.

That's just sudden— sudden as hell!" Steph huffed frustrated as we set on the patio.

"I know but what else am I supposed to do. I don't have a choice."

"I don't want you going alone."

"I thought you were staying behind with the kids."

"I know... that was before—."

"Steph I'm a big girl I can take care of myself."

"It ain't about that. You're my wife before anything. I can't have you half way cross the world alone with that mother fucker, ain't no tellin what he'll try. Then your pops just ain't even no security."

"Steph- please- don't mention my dad. I know things are rocky. But he wouldn't allow anything to happen to me, regardless."

"Madison I wish you weren't so trusting all the time."

" Steph, lets talk about something else."

"I wanna talk about it though. You're my wife."

"I understand Steph but I don't feel like it right now."

"Tonight then."

"I'm gonna go check on The kids."

I didn't have the energy to deal with Steph, I know he meant well but I just didn't have the mental space or energy to deal with it all.

"Aww my sweetie pie is sleep?" I sighed watching Ms.Youlus rock her slowly.

"Yes ma'am she is. Mama Steph went out for grocery. You just got ya self a free night. Why don't you and the husband have a night out."

"Oh no Ms.Youlus, I can't do that. I need to be paying for the both of you a night out, after all y'all do for us."

"It's my pleasure. You're like a daughter."

Her words hit home as I set onto the floor watching how she soothed Vrai so gently. "That means a lot. More than you'll ever know."

"How you holding up?"

"Fine. Just one day at a time."

"Honey I've been where you at. You and Steph are married. In it for the long run. I can see that man loves you to death. Tonight you both need time away from the kids and the world. Just away by ya selves to remember why you fell in love."

"You think so?"

"I know so."

"You give the best advice. I don't know what id do without you.

"Live honey, live." She smiled.

I digested her advice starting towards the door to go check on the other kiddos.

Allure was in my bed on her tablet.

"Hey gorgeous how you feeling?"

She rolled over giving me that little smile I loved to see.

"Where were you?"

"Talking to daddy."

"Daddy Steph or daddy Rick?"

"Daddy Steph."

"When can I see daddy Rick?"

It was so odd she brought this conversation up. I didn't have the answer to her questions and oddly it was making me uncomfortable that she had to be introduced to the bastard.
