Ok just a short A/N, just a reminder, please don't say that my story is unoriginal because it is. I just took some ideas and scenes, that doesn't mean anything because I'll still have to write it and phrase it by myself right? So please don't leave comments like "this is the exact same scene as Monte Carlo/ The Princess Diaries" because I already said that I'm going to have the same plot as them so refrain yourself people. Other than that, just enjoy the story:)

Chapter One- The trip

"Come on Evie! I need your help!" A voice shouted from the kitchen.

"Sure thing Mr Cruz! Coming!" I put down my iPod and the jar of salt I was filling and ran to the kitchen.

"Grab that would ya? And serve to table 4." Mr Cruz instructed.

"Ok." I took the plate and rushed to table four, not before laughing at Mr Cruz's creativity, he had used bacons and eggs to make a smiley face. It's probably for the kid at table 4. I put the plate in front of the kid sitting at table four and said in a pleasant voice,"Enjoy your meal." And walked back to the counter.

"So, are you excited?" My bestie Emma asked me. I gave her a blank look and she rolled her eyes at me. "You know, graduation?" She hinted. "Oh... Yea oh yea." I nodded absentmindedly.

"Then where is the enthusiasm?!" She bumped hips with me making me crack a smile. I love Emma, really. She is so out going and so socialable that she practically gets along with everyone... Ok maybe not everyone but almost. She is that typical blonde, tall, sexy and bubbly. We met a few years back.

She is two one year older than me but more immature than me. Sometimes I feel like I'm the older one instead of her. She helped me through the first three years of my high school, when I was being picked on, she would stand by my side and protect me. For that I'm very grateful to her. Not only that, she brought me out of my darkest time. I'm not proud of myself at one point of my life but she made me change, she brought me out of my misery and made me realize that I'm special in my own way.

Before I get the chance to answer her, the bell hanging on the door rang, signaling that a customer had come in. Both of us turned our heads to see Emma's boyfriend, Michael, walked in. I made a face upon seeing him, it's not that I don't like him or anything, he is nice and he makes Emma happy, it's just that whenever the both of them are together, PDAs are everywhere. It's just gross. Seeing your best friend making out with her boyfriend is not a sight I want to see and endure, that's why, I dashed away quickly when Michael walked towards us.

I watch them flirt with each other, smiling their faces off. Emma is just so lucky, even though she may not be as smart or as rich, but she is happy. She is contented with her life, she is happy that she has a boyfriend and a job even though her results are in the drain. She has everything she ever wanted in her life, well except for her freedom and of course money, which is why she is working.

When the door bell rang again, the people that walked in are the last one I hope to see. Mackenzie and her little groupie. Don't mistaken them as the typical cheerleader b*tch or slut, in fact, they used to be my friends. Mack and I were inseparable until... Let's just not go down that memory lane again. Let's just say that we fell out after something happened and our years of friendship just, poof. Gone. I mean we still talk and all but it's just really awkward and tense.

Then there is Derek, my ex-boyfriend. Typical jock, typical star in our school. He was every girl's dream, but unfortunately he only has eyes for me. Long story short, we broke up after something terrible happened, again. Yeah I know, so many horrible and unfortunate things happened to me in high school, my high school life must have sucked big time. I'm not complaining, not at all. Sure, my high school life might not be a smooth sailing one, but I'm contented with it. What is high school without a little bit of drama? Life would be so boring, right?
