Falling Into The Deep End

Chapter 8

I wake to the sound of my phone buzzing. I groan as I turn around to pick my phone of the side table. I squint as the phone lights up. I see that I have a text from Nathan:

Nathan: Hey. Are you awake?

Rosabelle: I am now!! Thanks to you... What's up?

Nathan: Hahaha. Meet me in the kitchen.

Rosabelle: Why??

Nathan: We need to talk

Rosabelle: Ok. Give me a few minutes.

Nathan: Got it.

I get up and go to the bathroom to get ready. I change into a white tank top and denim shorts considering its really hot and I will most likely be going out Amber and Charlie later as it is Saturday. I head down to the kitchen. I note that the house is quiet. When I arrive, Nathan surprises me with a peck on the lips. With a shook expression on my face I sit down on the stool opposite Nathan.

"OK. I'm here. What's up?" I say

"They are three things we need to talk about. One: You are anorexic and how we get you to feel better, Two: Your self harm problem and then us." He says sternly

I spit out the water I was drinking when he said that. He ignores my reaction and goes on:

"OK. So, this is what your going to do. Your going to eat little by little. Your going to try and eat as much as you can and not throw. As you eat each meal start adding a little more food. Got it?" He says

I nod

"Oh Yeah. I will be making sure you eat." He says

I nod again

"As for your self harm problem. Try and delay each time you get the urge to do it. Maybe time yourself." He says

I nod

He sighs "Now the hardest part" He says then winks

I blush and he laughs

"Ok. I like you. A lot. I tried to stay away because let's be honest your brother is crazy overprotective." He laughs "Trust me, I have been there when he scares off. After we kissed, I realised that I can't stay away from you. I like you too much." He says nervously

"I like you too" I say quietly

"Really?" He says happily

I nod

He takes a deep breath then asks me a question I never thought he would ask:

"Will you be girlfriend?" He says

"Yes" I say a little too quickly

And then his lips come crashing down to mine. He pulls away quickly

"Now we need to tell your parents and brother." He sighs

"How about we see how this goes and then tell them. Maybe in a few weeks" I suggest

"But—" He gets cut of by me

"No buts" I say sternly

He sighs "Fine"
