Feels Better {Dabi x Deku}

Just Izuku and Dabi.

Dabi's POV

Hours later, I neared the school, gaping as it loomed over me like a giant. No villain in their right mind would risk doing something like this, but it was pretty obvious by now that I was past that kind of fear. The sun had already set, and the only sounds coming from the school were those of birds and insects.

Gritting my teeth, I aimed my quirk at a wall

...and watched as it turned to ash.

Izuku's POV

The past few months have been full of sleepless nights. Actually, scratch that. Every day, since Dabi left me, has been sleepless. Whether it's from insonomia...trauma...or anything else, no amount of therapy or drugs have fixed anything.

Anything.

Sighing heavily, I crawled into my bed, my eyes wide open.

Sometimes, I felt like I was waiting. Just waiting.  And sometimes...I waited for so long that I forgot what I was even waiting for.

Suddenly, through the silence, I heard a quick knock on my door. I sat up immediately, feeling alert. Probably Kacchan coming to bother me AGAIN. Growling softly, I slowly opened to door, ready to scowl at whoever was behind it. 

With a start, I felt my heart beat once, and then drop.

Dabi's POV

I knocked softly, trying my hardest to stay as quiet as possible. It was taking all my effort not to throw the door down and kiss my Izuku.

 But I knew better than that. 

Patiently, I waited, until I heard footsteps slowly inching near the other side of the door.

 It suddenly swung open...and for the first time in a while...I saw Izuku Midoriya's beautiful face.

But, my victory was short-lived, as he immediately tried to close the door again.

"Iz-Izuku please listen to me." My voice came out in stutters, and I realized how nervous I was. 

He momentarily paused, not wasting another second before grabbing my arm and dragging me in the room. 

"I only brought you in here because I heard someone coming so sit down, shut your mouth, and be quiet." Izuku spat, venom laced in his words.

We sat in awkward silence, as we waited for the voices to proceed down the hallway.

"Izuku, I made a mistake by leaving you..." I whispered, feeling tears prick at the corners of my eyes.

"Okay and? Why are you here?" He stared down on my, an unamused expression on his face.

"I need you Izuku. I love you, you know that. And if you don't, you should know that. I would do anything to take back what I did. So please, please, take pity on my pathetic self and come back to me."  My voice wavered, as I tried to maintain my composure.

Despite my efforts, a single tear trailed down my scarred face.

Izuku's POV

Was he...crying? 

I watched as he covered his face in his hands, hiding his emotions. My heart ached, and at this moment, all I wanted to do was be in his arms. Just him and I. Just Izuku and Dabi.

"Do you mean it?" I wailed like a child, not caring who else heard. "I don't want to love you anymore. I can't love you anymore. You've...hurt me too much, okay?!"
