In then end, as much as I hate to say this, a lot of opinions come down to presentation.
Yes, you heard it; presentation.
No don't soil yourself, it's not a dreaded school project which affects a majority of your grade. I like to call it...𝑨𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒄!
It adds pizazz, neatness, it makes everything look cool. And sure I haven't used it on this book yet, but on the one I'm currently writing there is indeed, an aesthetic.
How I do it, you ask?
A typing app and a simple cover.
Now I know many of covers seem extra and complex, one may even say chaotic, but you don't need that.
You need anything that will make YOUR BOOK stand out.
The cover on every single one of my non-published-probably-dusty-piece-of-work books are super simple.
I'm not simplistic, I'm actually an extravagant person, but my covers are.
I take the theme of my books. For example, I'll use my current piece of work; Human Nature.
It's about a girl who has.. plant/earth/nature/something.. powers. Hence the word NATURE.
So for the cover I used a pictures of plants, but you'd use your chosen aesthetic.
