We arrive at the parking lot and I pull my wrist out of Evans grip.

"How did you find me and why are you gripping me so hard?"

"You were just hanging out with a big ass wolf who is three times the size of a normal wolf and you shared your location with us the first time you got your phone so that way if something ever happened to us we would know where each other was. Now my turn to ask a question. Why didn't you answer your damn text messages?"

"First of all, my phone isn't on me so you couldn't have found me that way and second of all, that big ass wolf has a name. I was just going to hang out with Jacob today. You guys ditched me remember?"

Evan takes a frustrated sigh and tries to calm himself down. He runs his fingers through his hair and begins pacing in front of me.

"Cali, you can't just disappear like that. You have me, Emma, and James worried to death about where you were. And we didn't ditch you. We told you that we had some things to take care of and that we couldn't make it back."

"But you promised that you would come back and finish celebrating with me. Why would you make that promise knowing you couldn't keep it? I almost had to spend that storm by myself and you know how storms affect me. And to top it off my fathers' anniversary is tomorrow as if yesterday wasn't hard enough!" I yell at Evan.

Fury takes over his face as he says the one thing that he knows will affect me the most.

"Oh, please Callista. Your dad has been dead for 13 years. When are you going to grow up and get over it!?"

I gasp and take a step back. "H-how could y-you say th-that?"

It takes Evan a few seconds to realize what he's said and his whole face becomes mortified. He starts shaking his head furiously as if to take back or deny what he just said.

"Ca-Cali, I am so sorry. I didn't mean to-" He reaches for me but I swat his hand away and back up farther from him.

"But you did Evan! You meant every word you said, and you can't take it back!" I yell at him.

I run past Evan towards my car with tears streaming down my face.

"Cali! Cali wait! I'm sorry!" Evans yells after me.

I don't give Evan a chance to utter another word as I climb in my car and speed out of the park parking lot. The roads are blurry due to my tears blurring my vision. How could he say that to me? He knows how much I miss my father and how sensitive I am when it comes to him.

I manage to make my way back to my house without crashing and park the car. I get out and run to the back yard.

"Jacob...please tell me you followed me home?" I yell into the woods.

When I don't hear an answer back, I run back into the house and up to my room. I go to my bedside table and unplug my phone. I notice I have missed calls and texts from all three of my friends. I answer Emma and James back letting them know I'm home and not to worry and call Dustin.

He answers on the third ring. "Hello love, what's up?"

"Dustin...." I sob into the phone. I fall to the floor not being able to keep myself up anymore.
