Chapter 3: Dustin's POV of Graduation

Here comes some more story my little Mystical Creatures.

I'm finally graduating. I worked hard to get to this day, and I have finally made it. My name's Dustin Anderson but you can just call me Dustin. I'm a werewolf and soon to be alpha of my pack. I'm not just a werewolf though, I'm also part demon but I wasn't born this way. It was an accident that happened 10 years ago right after I shifted but that's too heavy of a topic right now. 

I'm 18 years old but my birthday is tomorrow. Tomorrow is the day I will finally meet my mate. Ever since I first shifted, I have been so excited to finally find my other half. I know I'll love her when I see her. She will become everything to me and I know my wolf is anxious to meet her as well.

If she's human, I'll wait till the right moment to tell her what I am. The last thing I want to do is scare her away and have her not trust me. Although it's rare for a human to be mated to a werewolf, it is not uncommon. Some werewolves look down on it but I find it fascinating that the moon goddess is willing to share our secret with the right person.

My mate could be one of the humans that attended high school with me. There were quite a few but the rest of us were werewolves. Out of the humans that did attend our high school, only one stood out to me as quite intriguing but I left her alone because she seemed to be dealing with her own problems throughout the school years.

Since I'm becoming the alpha of my pack, I don't really have plans for college. I didn't really need to attend high school either but I wanted to feel normal so I got permission to attend high school.

I just want to make it through graduation and go celebrate with my family, friends, and the rest of the pack.

My best friends Zack, Jason, and Derrick are all werewolves too. I'm surprised Derrick is even graduating though. He never took school seriously and always arrived late. But, the guys and I were there to set him straight once we got back home.

Jason is the smartest one in the group, besides me, and he graduated with all honors.

Zack is Zack and we will leave it at that. (hehe I rhymed)

They are my best friends though and I like them just the way they are.

To describe them, well, let's start with Jason. Jason is the more athletic one. He played on the high schools' basketball team. He was one of the top players but one of the players named James got a full-ride scholarship to Georgetown I believe it was.

He has blonde hair, green eyes, around 6'4 and a pretty muscular guy. His wolf's name is Jax. Now, Jax is a golden color with bright green eyes and he's the most playful one out of all our wolves but he is also the most serious. Jason is to be my beta for when I become Alpha because his father was my father's Beta and because the other two idiots can't take anything seriously.

Zack is a huge lady's man, which I'm pretty sure his mate will not appreciate. Not to say that he's not a virgin but he's a huge flirt. He has sandy hair, blue eyes, and comes in at 6'2. His wolf Fitz hates that Zack flirts around a lot but can't really say anything because he hasn't betrayed his mate in any way. Fitz has white fur and gold eyes. Fitz is the complete opposite of Zack by a lot. He's more serious than Zack, overly prepared, and very protective.

Derrick's more of the laid-back prankster in the group. He has brown hair, golden brown eyes, 6'2, and quite muscular like the rest of us. His wolf Logan has red fur, which is very rare in our country, with white eyes. He's very snarky, sarcastic, and impatient, which is the opposite of Derrick. I've never met someone with as much patience as Derrick has.

Then there's me. I have black hair and hazel eyes. I'm 6'5, the tallest in the group, and I have a birthmark right next to my eye. My wolf's name is Jacob. He's pretty chill and always knows how to handle every situation no matter what it is. His fur is a midnight black color and has blue eyes. He's very protective over the family and the pack members and I know he's going to be even more protective over our mate.

Graduation is almost over and the second to last row was just called to receive their diplomas. There was this one girl who had this beautiful long red hair and her eyes were two different colors. This is the girl that I've had my eyes on for a while now but, I never approached her. I tried not to chuckle as she stumbled down the stairs. Her gown was huge on her and her heels weren't really helping with the situation.

Once everyone received their diplomas, we proceeded to walk outside and throw our caps in the air and take a group photo. I noticed the same girl walk up to her friends and they shared a group hug and took some photos of their own. I don't know what it is, but something about this girl makes me feel protective over her even though I don't know that much about her.

Derrick comes up behind me and slaps me on my back.

"Hey, bro. Whatcha looking at?" Zack asks.

I nod towards the girl with the long red hair.

"Oh! I know her. Her name's Callista. She's best friends with James and was at every single game we had." Jason walks up and says.

I watched her walk away with her friends and her mother.

"She's beautiful, isn't she? But a really shy one. She's super smart too. Took a lot of hard classes. The two guys that she has with her all the time are very protective of her which tells me that they all have some history together." Zack rattles off his thoughts.

I give Zack a strange look, "How do you know all of this? Have you been watching her?"

"Sort of. I mean it's kind of hard not to stare at her bro. She has vibrant red waist-length hair and different colored eyes. She's extremely smart and she has her own bodyguards when she's not in class."

Derrick and Jason just stare at Zack impressed. I nod my head taking in all the info.

"Although you are not wrong about her standing out, you sounded really creepy just now," I said to Zack.

"Yeah, dude. That was just weird." Derrick chipped in.

Zack flipped us off and began to walk towards the car.

"Come on guys before he does something stupid," Jason says.

We all pile into my Jeep and make our way back to the pack house. My mom and Dad are the first to greet us and congratulate us. After we finish with the sappy moment, we begin planning for my birthday tomorrow. I will be able to finally meet/find my mate.

I'm going to try and keep a daily/weekly upload for these chapters. 

The next chapter though, I was laughing the whole time while I wrote it. I thought it was hilarious..but you know my sense of humor isn't the best.
