Ounce Upon a December from the Disney movie Anastasia.

A couple of hours later, I wake up to complete darkness. It takes a few seconds for my eyes to adjust. I notice that Dustin is gone and there's a lot of growling and snarling coming from around the house. I get up and walk towards the bedroom door. I turn the knob only to notice that the door has been locked. I start banging on the door.

"Dustin. Dustin!" I try opening the door again, but nothing works.

"Damn it. Where are you?" I start to panic. I head back to the bed and sit down. The growling and snarling become louder. I hear something bang into the door and I jump. It does it again and I sprint to the window. With the last bang, the door comes down. I let out a scream and fling the balcony doors open. The wolf growls and stalks towards me. I back out onto the balcony and my back hits the railing.

"What do you want from me?"

The wolf snarls at me and speaks. "I want you dead."

The wolf lunges at me and I fall over the balcony. I grab onto the railing and hang on. I hear bones start to snap and I look up and see a woman glaring down at me. She grabs my hands and begins to pry them off of the railing.

"Killing you will be the best victory I have ever had. Goodbye Callista." She lets go of my hands and I begin to fall.

"Jacob!" I scream. While I'm falling, I see the girls head snap to the side and her body fall. I close my eyes as I wait for impact.

"Cali!" I hear Jacob yell and I open my eyes as he reaches me. As he gets underneath me, I turn so I'm able to grab his neck and hold on tight. He stops and lets me climb down.

"Cali, are you okay?" I give Jacob an incredulous look, then I wack him on his nose. If he was Dustin I would have slapped him.

"No, I am not okay. I just fell three stories and almost died. But that's not even the kicker, no. Why the hell was I locked in your room with nowhere to go? And don't say it was to protect me."

Jacob shifts back to Dustin. "It was to protect you though. We were under attack by rogues and I couldn't keep you with me or else you would have been in even more danger. I locked you in without thinking that somebody would slip past the guard's downstairs and get to you. I'm trying to keep my promise to you love, but it seems to be getting harder every day."

My hard demeanor melts away and I give him a hug. "Thank you, for saving my life and protecting me. You could have at least woken me up and told me you were locking me in though."

"I know my love. I'm sorry. I should have woken you up and told you what was going on. No more secrets okay?"

I look up at him. "No more secrets."

He picks me up bridal style and carries me back into the house. We get back to his room and the door is all fixed and the dead body is gone.

"Wow, that was fast."

"We don't like broken things around here, especially my mother."

I chuckle and jump out of his arms. I walk over to the bed and sit down. I notice that Dustin is still standing by the door.

"Hey, what's wrong?" He looks up and I notice that his eyes are now blue.

"Jacob, what's wrong? Please talk to me."

He groans and winces. "Cali, it's a full moon tonight and the urge to mark you is ten times stronger."

I blink my eyes thinking for a second. Mark me? I think I read about that somewhere.
