"Pauline, you know you can't do anything about it. Just stop what you're doing and let's leave this place."

Ibinaba ko ang mga cylinder tubes na hawak ko sa lamesa. Ibinaba ko ang suot na protective gear at pagod na tinignan si Hedrick, my co-doctor here. We are both a scientists.

"I made it. And I know how to stop it from spreading. Will you please calm down?"

Huminga siya ng malalim at tinapunan ako ng isang titig. Titig na nagsasabing maging siya ay pagod na din sa akin. He's so tired of my bullshits and it's not a matter of time now before he finally give up on me.

"You also know that no matter how you want to help them, wala silang pakealam sa atin. So it's better if you just stop that and let's leave. I am sure they're on their way here."

Tumango ako, naiintindihan ang nais niyang sabihin sa akin. I looked at him and sighed.

I badly want to help the military forces. I want to make a potion wherein it'll make them stronger. I want that potion to make them bulletproof. I want that potion to make them an immortal to protect them in their everyday battle.

I've seen their sacrifices. I've seen all the life losses because of the fights. Naaawa ako sakanila. At the same time, nabibilib. Pare-pareho naman kaming sumasabak sa kanya-kanya naming laban sa propesyunalidad na aming pinili. But then, theirs are much risky.

Dahil sa kagustuhan kong makatulong, I really did an experiment. With all hopes that it'll turn into a success, nagkamali ako. I failed.

"I know Adrian, he won't harm us. Alam kong hahayaan niya tayong makalaya. Don't be worried."

We are a legit and legal scientists. But doing all the experiments that they thought would harm the world, nais nilang hulihin kami at patayin. They even thought of us as a "crazy scientists".

We are doing an experiments where we are finding an answer to all the questions here. Like, is there a way to help the dead? To not bury them, instead, make them alive? Revive their life?

O, hindi we, kasi ako lang naman ang may gusto n'on. Don't get me wrong here. Talaga bang, kapag patay kana, ililibing kana agad? I believe there's still a chance for you to live.

I want all things will last.

Gusto kong lahat ay nananatili. Ayokong may nawawala, may nagwawakas. Kaya kung kaya kong pahabain ang buhay, bakit hindi ko gawin?

His jaw clenched. "How about our children?"

Tumingin siya sa anak niya na nilalaro ang anak ko. They're on the living room. They can't hear us because of the glass wall in between.

This is our very own laboratory with a complete parts in it. A kitchen, a dining room, a living room, and a two rooms for us. Pinasadya namin dahil alam naming maari kaming mahuli sa kanya-kanya naming bahay.

Nga lang, the laboratory takes a huge space than the rest. Ang mga iba ay sakto lamang ang espasyo para sa amin. Laboratory is the most important anyway, and in this case, we're much safer here. Kami lang ang nakakalam sa lugar na ito.

"We have teleport device, in case Hed. Don't worry, hindi ko kayo ipapahamak. Just please, help me here."

Hedrick, is a classmate of mine since elementary up to college. We both love science and both took chemistry as a course. Ilang taon ng pag-aaral at sa wakas ay nakapagtapos. 

We parted ways for how many years. At nang muling nagkita ay pareho ng may pamilya. And sadly, pareho din kaming namatayan ng asawa.

His wife, got in an accident in a car. Leaving him and their son. Which is only a five-year old boy. And my husband, died in an airplane crash. Leaving me and our baby. Who's only a month old.
