His eyes were the first thing I noticed as he looked up at me. Such a dark blue they reminded me of sapphires. My heart jumped at the feel of them as he held my gaze. I was in a trance unable to look away and it was as if he could see into the very soul that gave my body life. My skin crawled with goose bumps as his eyes changed from curious to predatory in a matter of moments. A shudder passing through me as my heart beat faster. He could see me. Like really see me and I cringed at the gut wrenching fear that ran through me, watching as his tongue ran smoothly over his lips. He looked like a predator about to hunt his prey. Me being that prey. His grin was intimidating as he spoke to the boy next to him and began to come my way.
I shuddered as I realised I wouldn't be able to turn and walk away. His eyes held me in place preventing any movement, forcing me to stand there as he approached. The voice in my head was screaming at me to run, to get away from him. To snap out of this trance I was in and give him a piece of the anger I had felt a week ago, but I was unable to even form a decent thought as he stopped in front of me. We stood staring at each other for the longest time. Neither of us saying a single word until Liam turned from his locker to check what my eyes were glued on.
"No way." I heard him groan and as if on cue my thoughts returned and I found myself able to look over at him, my eyes questioning his words.
"No fucking way." He repeated as he first looked from me to Colt. His eyes giving away the sadness that was over coming him.
Colt nodded his head slightly as if confirming what Liam was saying, his eyes not straying away from my face, and I began to feel uneasy at his predatory look. His eyes were glowing slightly as I kept my face void of all emotion. I didn't want him to know that he intimidated me. The first person who had ever made me feel even a small amount of fear. My eyes shifted over his face as I took note of every detail unable to stop myself from doing so. Just as I was unable to stop myself from the beat my heart skipped as I realised how attractive he really was.
His white blond hair was short and well-kept curving slightly around his ears. His blue eyes were magnificent with the vivid green circling his pupil. His lips looked soft and inviting as I glanced toward them, his tongue darting out to wet them as he noticed my gaze. He had a soft coating of facial hair like he hadn't shaved in a day or so and I even found myself attracted to that feature. He was tanned as if he spent a lot of time outdoors in the sun. Which, if my assumptions were correct, as a werewolf he did. He was taller than me. Not by much but at least a few inches.
"Like what you see?" I heard him say in a slightly husky voice as I realised I had been checking him out.
I scowled at him in response as I once again heard Liam exclaim. "No way Colt."
Colt's eyes left my face finally and I felt like I could breathe properly as he looked over at Liam nodding his head. The look in his eye was strange as he did so, like he was commanding Liam to keep quiet and not say anymore. Glancing at Liam I saw him glare back at Colt, not backing down like I'm sure he could have a week ago. I supposed the lessons we'd spent the weekend working on to teach him to fight had paid off some and given him a boost of confidence.
"You can't have her." Liam snapped as he grabbed my hand and began to drag me off down the hall. With reflexes faster than I thought he'd used Colt reached out snatching my other arm before I could move away farther. An electrical current running up it and through my whole body at the contact causing my skin to tingle in an odd way and I was jerked to a stop both boys trying to pull me toward them.
"You can't stop me." He grit out venomously and I heard the rumble beginning in his chest.
'Please tell me he isn't going to go wolf boy in the middle of the school hall.' My voice groaned as I let a groan of my own go at being pulled in both directions. Let me tell you that shit hurt.
