Taehyung woke up to a subtle ray of sunshine that peeked in through the glass window. He yawned as his eyes laid on the wall clock that hung in front of him. It was eight in the morning. Usually he'd wake up at six and leave for work by seven but today was Sunday so his duty would start at 10 precisely. On the weekends he just had to go and take rounds of different military camps.
Lazily, he got up and went to take a shower then got dressed in a loose white shirt and a gray trouser. His wet disheveled bangs stuck to his forehead as he walked out of his room, a towel hung around his neck.
He walked to the living room where his eyes widened and his feet stopped. His gaze swept over her. Jisoo was setting breakfast on the table. Her dark, short hair curled seductively around her neck and her legs.. At that moment he knew she had to get rid of this thin white fabric for both of their sake.
She shifted clueless from living room to the kitchen back and forth. Holding different items that she had prepared, in every round. Even though she was desperate for her freedom and she hated the feeling of his dominance over her. She still was grateful to get rid of the comfort stations and do what she would call sober.
"have you eaten? " his morning voice was heavier and huskier. Jisoo squirmed like she always did on his voice. Everytime he'd be so quiet that she wouldn't even know he was there at all.
"no.. Not yet." she responded. Slightly nodding her head. Why would he always ask her this question? A thought swayed through her mind.
"well you should eat with me. " the words made jisoo's jaw almost drop in shock and she looked over his shoulder.
"a-are you kidding me? " her words came out almost inaudible.
"I'm afraid no." his expressions were steady. Surprised, she walked past him as his gaze followed her sight and slowly she settled on the table beside him.
"I assume you're a great cook. " taehyung spoke in a conversational manner. Jisoo looked at him almost in disbelief. She couldn't process the thought of a soilder who had kept her captive doing something he's not supposed to do.
Behave nicely..?
"my mother is a great cook. I only learned from her. " she spoke, carefully.
"hmm" he hummed. " pass me the rice cake. " he spoke and she obediently handed the bowl to him. This was normal.. Too normal for her in the given circumstances. Usually, if she was with her family or friends back home, she would be the hardest one to keep quiet but right now, speaking even two words in front of him, seemed like the hardest task to do.
Taehyung watched her over the rim of his coffee cup.
She eats like a kitten.
He thought and a light smile graced his lips. She caught him looking at her and felt a tremor up her spine then down.
"I should be get going. " he spoke, noticing her uneasy expressions. He could see the look in her eyes change as she stood up and followed him to the door. As soon as he left she sighed and leaned against the door. She was surprised. What was he doing? She thought. Jisoo couldn't understand him and she didn't even want to. But his thoughts clung to her mind like glue. She hated him and his forces. She hated the camps and what they were doing to them. She hated every possible thing that she could hate about the imperial forces and war yet she was stunned by the way he was treating her.
