"I saw you two having a conversation." smiled Mr lau.
"yea" she responded.
"what did you guys talk about? "he asked her. He asked her like any concerned father would. He wanted her to be happy and less broken. Even if she couldn't forget taehyung which he doubted she ever would. At least she could have someone who could distract her from the bitter loneliness that she held within.
"he's a doctor. " she responded. "and that he just moved here to treat the orphan kids. " she added.
"wow. Isn't that nice. " he said.
"very kind." she lifted her eyes and smiled at the man. He was almost like her whole family now. She didn't know anyone else besides him there.

"everyday I can't wait for 9 pm so I can come and see you. It has become my favorite part of the day. "Henry told jisoo and she looked at him. He had kind eyes. She realized.
"won't you say anything? "he asked, half laughing.
"Huh? "she replied short.
"nothing" he responded and looked outside the window.

4 pm ~ Saturday.
It wasn't a busy day today, the soup shop wasn't as crowded at it was normally. Jisoo was cleaning one of the counters like usual and Mr. Lau was making the budget. On and off they both fell Into small conversations.
Not after too long, Henry joined them too. They weren't dating. Not yet. They were still getting to know each other..
"hi!" he smiled.
"hello" Mr. Lau gave him a warm hug. And his gaze shifted at jisoo, "hi " he whispered and she responded him by a smile. "it's so sunny and nice out there. " he spoke, in conversational manner trying to indulge her into the conversation. "yea, it's very rare that the sun actually shines like this here " she responded.
And he immediately turned towards her, "hey do you like winters or Sumnmer? "his face was placed between his hands as his eyes were playfully fixed on jisoo."summers.. " she replied short but then she decided to add up," it just feels so warm and bright when it's all yellow out there. " a small smile lingered on her lips. When she realized Henry had been looking at her all this while. She cleared her throat and put a strand of her hair behind her ear.
"am I making you nervous? "he asked. And she curved her lips, "no" she smiled.
"I thought so. " he laughed lowly only earning a smile back from her. When the bell rang.
As soon as her gaze shifted towards the people who entered in, paranoia took over her. Her feet froze and she only stared at the men in uniform standing a little far away from her.
"are you alright? "Henry laid his hand on hers. She looked terrified. Her past haunted her all of the sudden again.
"is there any jisoo? " one of the two asked.
"I think that's her. " the other one pointed looking at the paper in his hand.
"what is it officer? "asked Henry. And by this time Mr. Lau had joined them too. One of them walked towards her and fear overpowered her instantly. She just wanted to crawl away. To escape or run away.
"I think this belongs to you. " he spoke politely and all of them looked at that small piece of paper that he held in his hand. The soilder took of his hat and looked down.
"we guessed this was intended to be given to you. "he spoke and she looked at the man before looking at the paper.
"we couldn't identify the body. " he sighed and her mind went numb.
"we just found this in his uniform's pocket. His dead body was found near the border. His face was unidentifiable. "
It can't be. It can't be. It can't be..
Afraid her eyes shifted towards the paper and she saw a woman sketched on it. A woman.. Who had short hair and a white shirt that was clung to her body.
At that very moment her body trembled so bad that Henry had to hold her firmly from letting her fall.
"Taehyung" she whispered. She felt her heart slow down to the point of stopping as she crashed onto the floor.
"Could you come out with us, so we could ask some questions? "the soilder asked Mr. Lau who was standing there in utter shock.
"y-yes. " he stammered and went outside with the soilders. Meanwhile Henry stood there besides her. He was clueless. He was confused but he was sure that she wasn't okay at all.
-
She felt numb too numb. As one by one taehyung's words floated in front of her.
Flashbacks ~
"jisoo, you're free to go. " This was the first time he spoke since he came back.
" It's going to be okay I promise you. "
She struggled to breathe.
"have you forgiven me? " he asked.
" I know you're freaking tired. I know you're just pretending. I can see it. God I can see through you! "his jaw worked as he tried to look away from her slightly glistening eyes.
She clenched her chest in pain. She remembered all his conversations word by word.
"jisoo I'm yours, god I'm yours from head to toe. I'm in love with you."
"see you're not even hesitating and I'm scared to death. "
Her eyes started to lose their focus. As tears blurred her vision.
"but know that if you ever feel like blaming fate again just remember what you did to us. "
That's when she broke into sobs and cries all at once. Her heart ached, her body was tensed. The pain she felt was unbearable. A pain that she didn't know existed before. It shred her heart into pieces and she was oblivious of her surroundings.
"jisoo! " she heard a blurred voice. "it's going to be alright".Henry was taken aback by the hurt she felt.
She slowly looked up to look at him. Then felt a firm grip around her shoulders and he pulled her up to stand. Meanwhile Mr lau had entered in. His eyes were red due to crying. They both looked at each other and words hung in air between them.
"he's gone. " he whispered and brought his fingers to his eyes to wipe his tears and embraced jisoo.
"I need to be alone. " she spoke in between the sobs. " I want to be alone for a while." she said and left as she was.
"where are you going? " asked Mr lau but she didn't respond.
"Henry go behind her. She's not in her senses. " he told him. But she denied, "nobody, nobody come behind me. "
When she left Henry's eyes shifted on the crumpled sketch that laid on the ground. He carefully picked up and his gaze shifted on
My jisoo
Written at the bottom. He confused, turned towards mr. Lau, "who was taehyung?"
