A month had passed by since taehyung had rejoined the military service and longer than that since he had heard jisoo's voice. It had been eternity since their kiss and how the hell was he supposed to live the rest of his life without her?

She hadn't heard anything about him either. Normally  mr. Lau would mention about him now and then but even he didn't talk about him in all this while. And every time that little golden bell rang her eyes darted towards the door. Every time she'd expected him to step in but every other face dissapointed her.

"he's looking at you. "Mr. Lau teased jisoo as he wiped his hands with a towel.

"what? Who? " she squinted her eyes at him that were shining with amusement.

"that guy in black Shirt. I've noticed him thrice. He can't seem to get his eyes off you. "he giggled like a 10 year old. Jisoo hesitantly looked in his direction and the man immediately shifted his eyes away from her.

"he? "she asked Mr. Lau and he nodded. "why don't you go and take his order? " he asked jisoo.

"no Why would I do that? "she refused.

"he seems like a nice guy jisoo. There's nothing wrong in it."

"no-"

"You can't wait for someone you can't have. You have to move on someday. "he explained and her heart vibrated. He was not someone she couldn't have. He was not someone she could just so easily "move on" from.

"he's coming. " he spoke ,bringing jisoo back out of her chain of thoughts.

"what Mr. Lau! Wh-where are you going? " she whispered but he disappeared, leaving her to attend the guy. Jisoo fidgeted and her hands continuously crumpled the napkin she held.

"um hello. " he smiled.

"h-hi. " jisoo stuttered. She wanted to escape but that would be so impolite she knew. Despite the only guy that she knew how to interact with was taehyung.

Taehyung, her heart fluttered again as she thought about him at that very moment, "I'm Henry, what's your name?" he asked in a persuasive tone. Since jisoo wasn't showing any interest in the conversation.

"I'm jisoo. " she gave him a fake smile. "would you like to order something? " she sounded professional. Showing no emotions.

"ah, actually yes. Some dumplings. " he responded quick. "but more than that I was hoping If I could um" he took a pause, looking at her face. She was perfect he thought.

"yes? "she raised her brow.

"i-if I could take you out sometime? On a date or something? "he stuttered nervously. And she only blinked at him.

"what do you mean? "she asked him.

"i-i just want to know you more. "he hesitated. She was confused. Not because she didn't know what taking out someone meant.  But because she didn't know any better too. She had never been out with a guy before. No one had asked her this question not even Taehyung himself. She didn't know that dating worked like that.

Her and taehyung never "dated". He just knew they were meant to be. He just knew he fell in love the moment he laid his eyes on her. He didn't need to "date " her to know her. It was true. He could see through her. He could see and feel more than most people did. He knew, the way she put a strand behind her ears everytime when she got nervous. He knew the way she liked to be looked at. It would make her heart flutter. He knew the way she loved to be touched at. He knew the sounds she made when he made love to her. He knew how to make her toes curl. He knew what her soul held within. He knew her. He just did it like that.

"are you listening? "he asked.

"a-ah yeah yeah I-" she panicked.

"yeah? "he looked in her direction.

"I'm s-sorry. I'm in love with someone else. " she responded.

His expressions dropped instantly and the man smiled dimly, " oh my bad."

Jisoo only looked at him, " your order ? " she asked him.

"maybe some other time. "he told her and walked away. Jisoo only stood there for a moment or two and thought about what just happened. Then she took a deep breath. She felt relieved now that he was gone and went back to work.

It had been a week and everyday that guy started to show up at the shop and everyday she'd try her best to ignore him. "Mr. Lau, "she called.

"yes? "

"can you please tell him to leave. "she requested. "I just don't like it when he's around. "she spoke.

"jisoo, for how long are you going to be like that? You're young. Don't waste your whole life, waiting for him. "

She sighed, "I'm not waiting for him. "she whisper shouted. And he gave her -you -know -that's -true - kind of look.

And she fell back to silence. "look sweetheart,"he continued.

"no matter what Taehyung will always be the only man I will love. And I'd happily die like this "her lips trembled as she cut him off.

"who said stop loving him? Just go out with someone new until you realise you want them or not. Think about it. ' he looked her in the eyes. "you'll think about it? " he asked in a persuasive tone.

Jisoo wiped a tear from her cheek and looked at the guy sitting across the room. She nodded, "I'll try. "

"good girl. "he smiled at her. "I'll be right back. "he told her.

She wasn't ready. It felt like even agreeing to it was a betrayal. She felt like she was betraying taehyung but she had no other choice. Maybe Mr. Lau was right. Maybe she could forever love Taehyung but try out with somebody else. He couldn't even come close to Taehyung. Never she thought.

He had her heart and soul captivated. Even if she told him to live with his wife. She knew he was more hers than Lisa. She knew the way she had him no other woman could and he had her like no other man could ever. Only due to this hope her heart was alive. It was beating.. Just for him.

In the midst of all these thoughts, she finally gained some strength  and walked towards his table.
