"A ticket to Busan please. " jisoo stood at the train station. She was overpowered by emotions. She was returning home after 4 freaking years. And couldn't wait any longer to see her mother, her baba and meet all of her friends. After 4 years she was going to pick up from where she left. In her mind nothing had changed in her hometown.. Only in her mind..
-The train stopped in a small town in Busan. It was 3 in the afternoon. She stepped out. Finally. She was in her hometown. She closed her eyes shut and let the cool breeze rub against her face. She was in her country, among her people. She was safe.
"where is your mind lady? Walk carefully or else you're going to get hurt!" a passer yelled at her. Jisoo was just running into his bicycle if he hadn't stopped in time. "sorry, sir. " she shouted at the distant man who was now fading into the thick fog. She sighed, chewing on her bottom lip as she stood right in front of a tiny house with green windows.
It looked exactly the same. Nothing had changed but the color of the door had fainted a bit. Her heart raced inside her chest as she reached for the door to knock but it was already ajar. Without wasting a minute she stepped in and all of her childhood memories started to float right in front of her. Tears brimmed her eyes as she looked at the woman in front of her, standing with her back turned towards jisoo.
"mother! " she sobbed as she stepped closer. Adrenalin rushed in her body as she put her hand on her shoulder.
"Jesus! "the woman muttered.
"i-i am so sorry." jisoo spoke. The woman in front of her wasn't her mother or anyone she knew.
" who are you lady? And how did you get in here?" she asked wiping her hands with a towel.
"I am.. I.. the d-door was unlocked.. I just - I.. " she couldn't form a logical sentence, meanwhile her eyes laid on a little baby girl crawling from behind her mother. The woman picked her up and wrapped her arms around her daughter. She strangely resembled alot with her father.
" I am sorry. I guess I'm in the wrong house." jisoo apologized. Was this really not her house? She could never forget. How could she forget?
"you're in the right house, my darling." the sound made jisoo's heart flinch in her chest. " baba! " she suddenly felt like she was 4 again and would cry and cry from the sound of thunder no matter what until her baba returned home from work and hold her in his arms.
Tears fell down her cheek as she ran into her father's arms. She sobbed loudly, then quietly and then broke into loud sobs again.
"oh I've missed you. I thought I'd never see you again. " her father kissed the top of her head.
"I'm here. I'm here now. I won't go anywhere. Nobody's going to capture me anymore. Baba I'm free. " she spoke in between the sobs.
Her father cupped her face in his heads and kissed her forhead. But he wasn't at peace. He wasn't as relieved to see jisoo as she was to see him.
"where's mother?" she asked. Completely ignoring the woman and her child standing right next to them.
