"Major Kim? " Jisoo called out for taehyung lowly. She wasn't sure of how long she had to wait for him to return back and to finish what he had started.
What did he want to say to me? She stepped out of the room.
"major Kim where are you? " she called out for him again. But all she could hear were the sound of her own footsteps in the lonely apartment.
Passing through the hallway, she reached at the main door that was locked.
Locked from the outside?
"major open the door! Are you there??" jisoo banged against the door. At first slightly but gradually It became loud and vigorous but it was of no use. She could feel her heart punching against her ribs.
Where was Taehyung? She whispered to herslef and then started a series of questions attached to It.
What did he want to say? What was going on? Why did he lock her in his apartment?
Questions stormed through her mind. Questions that she had no answers to.
Tired she dragged her body and propped onto a couch as she hugged her knees and waited.

It had been three days since Taehyung had left. Three days since she had been locked in this house. Panic and fear. Fear and panic. She moved restlessly from one nook to another. Sitting idly and waiting for him to return wasn't going to help the situation. But what else she could do?
Was this some sort of a plan? Were the imperial forces planning something else now? Or maybe something was really going on?
Did she trust him? She asked herself and only silence accompanied her. Silence was an answer itself. But trust was a big word and it was too soon for her to believe him completely. She released her breath slowly and threw her face into her palms.
Maybe she hadn't witnessed kindness in so long? Maybe nobody had been this vulnerable and open in front of in ages. Maybe she was confused.. Maybe she was mistaking his kindness with trust? She couldn't tell and her weak judgment only frustrated her.

"all the men with the weapons to the base now! " taehyung shouted and hundreds of men started to move instantly on his command.
"major all the men have been armed and the bases have been covered. "
"good! But recheck every base. Make sure the appointments have been made right everywhere."
"yes major! " the soilder saluted him and left.
"I hope all of this heads to the right way." he whispered to himself as if he really wasn't sure.
"major Kim! "
"Ahh lieutenant, what is it?"
"the situation seems to be very tensed. " he informed. " I am afraid if we don't reach a point of negotiation it's not going to end well. " he finished.

The sky was dark and the loneliness was now scaring jisoo. It had been a week now since he left and she was stuck in that house. There was continuous noise of helicopters and planes and it only made her anxious. Little did she know it was an air raid.
Was everything okay? Was he okay?
Panic now steadily turned into complete fear.
She remembered him mentioning about a mission but whatever was going on she was completely oblivious of it. All she could do was pray for better days, better life to come and she was already hoping.-

Hiroshima was completely destroyed. The US had bombed Japan in order to make it surrender. Thousands of lives had been lost. It was an untold havoc.
"we've been informed of 66,000 casualties till now. "
Taehyung, for a moment didn't utter a word. He didn't know what to say instead he stood there looking like a mixture of frustration, vulnerability and anger.

Another bombing had been done on Nagasaki. Leaving almost 40,000 casualties and mass destruction. Japan had finally surrendered. That marked the end of WW2.
The bombs had immediately devastated their targets. The atomic bombs had roughly killed between 90,000 - 146,000 people. This figure included, residents, military personnels, people from surrounding town and villages. Japan's military and civil defence had been unable to stop the allies attack.
Korea was finally free from japnese invasion. The war prisoners had now been freed. Able to return back to their homes.
