"We'll take a double, please," I instructed the lady at the front desk of the hotel.

"Unfortunately we are out of rooms with double beds this evening, I'm so sorry. I can give you a single for half price." She smiled.

I looked at Billy and sighed. "We'll take it." I said. We didn't have a lot of money, but luckily it was the twenties and everything was cheap.

When we got to the hotel room, I grabbed a small towel and wet it. I instructed Billy to sit on the bed and take his coat and shirt off.

"Yes m'am." He said. I rolled my eyes.

"ONLY your shirt, dingus." I said before turning around. I sat down next to his grazed arm. He tensed up when I pat the towel on his wound.

Then, I checked the cupboard for alcohol. There was a huge selection. I grabbed one and drenched the towel. "This is going to sting," I told him.

"I'm sure it can't be worse than any of your insults." He joked. I pressed the towel to his arm and he exhaled heavily and winced a little. Then, I found clean cloth and wrapped the wound tightly.

"You're sleeping on the floor." I instructed.

"You're going to make the cripple sleep on the floor?" He whined. "After all I've done for you?"

"You're not sleeping with me." I said, getting into bed.

"Oh but I already have." He smiled cockily.

"Thank you for reminding me. I forgot all about it." I said while turning so that my back was facing him.

He fake laughed. "Come on Nikki," he pleaded while getting into bed with me and stroking my thigh from above the comforter. I kicked away from him.

"Screw you."

"Okay fine I won't touch you, I just want the bed." He said. I didn't reply.

"Touch me and you're dead," I sighed, allowing him to have some of the bed. He tried to get under the covers but I pulled it away and wrapped myself up.

"Seriously?" He asked unamused. I didn't budge and he eventually gave up.

The sun kissed my face as I woke up next to Billy, still sleeping peacefully. For once he didn't look angry or sad, he just looked comfortable. It was almost adorable. Almost.

I found myself admiring his every feature. I really did love him, didn't I? After all this time, I have always loved him. As much as I wanted to hide it and as much as I denied it, I guess you just can't help how you feel about someone, even if they don't reciprocate.

That night when we were looking over the town, the things he said to me were everything I've ever wanted him to say. Even if they were just fake words he used to get into my pants, I didn't care. I wanted him, and I guess I still do.

But he doesn't love me. Billy Hargrove is a master of manipulation and he knows exactly what to say to make a girl fall for him.

His delicate eyelashes fluttered open and he yawned while stretching. "Morning Princess," I joked. "About time you woke up."

"Were you staring at me?" He questioned.

"Don't flatter yourself, lover boy."

"You know if you were awake for all this time, you could've, oh I don't know, figured out a way to get us out of this hellhole?"

"It's not that bad."

"Oh yeah? Tell that to the rapist who shot me."

"We have rapists in the eighties."

"Oh cool let's go say hi to all of them when we get out of here. Preferably today." He demanded while getting up.

I scoffed and got out of bed. "I need a shower." I said. "And before you ask, NO!"

"I didn't even say anything." He replied.

"Good."

"I wasn't going to say anything either." He said.

"Good." I replied while walking into the bathroom and closing the door.

"And if I *was* going to say something, it would only be because your little ordeal took me away from the other girls last night."

"Okay." I said nonchalantly.

"So don't flatter yourself, okay?"

"Okay." I repeated.

" 'Cause I'm not looking to get in the shower with you, just so you know."

"I know." I replied.

"Even if it did save water."

"Yup." I said while getting into the shower.

"Nicole..."

"Sorry, I can't hear you Billy. I guess you should just stop talking to save your voice." I said in the shower.

I heard the door open. "Well jokes on you because now I'm going to talk to you in the bathroom while you're in the shower."

"Billy get out!" I said. I could feel the temptation creeping up on me.

"Why should I?" He asked.

"Because this is an invasion of privacy!"

"Oh really?"

"Yes now I swear to God if you don't get out..." I saw his figure through the white curtains just standing there. He started poking me and laughing. "Jesus Christ Billy!" I yelled while pulling the curtains back but still covering my body to glare at him.

And there he was. Naked. Staring at me with a smirk. The night we were together, it was very dark and we couldn't see much. This time, he was showing everything, and I was taking it all in. I felt my face go red. "I need to shower too you know." He said.

"...uh... I...." I was blushing profusely.

"What was that, Nicole? Does my presence make you speechless?"

"No, jackass. Get the hell out of the bathroom!" I finally said.

Instead of leaving, he leaned in closer so that he was inches from my body. "See, do you really want that?" He whispered.

"Yes." I nodded. I felt his hand make his way through the curtains and onto my thigh. I didn't move. I couldn't move. How could one person have so much power over me?

His hand moved up, and I found myself loosening my grip on the shower curtains to reveal my whole body. He just stared in awe, not saying anything. He really looked impressed.

"Who's speechless now?" I asked. After a brief examination, his eyes moved up my body so that he was looking directly into my soul.

I knew what I wanted.
