Snow was falling outside of the Hogwarts Castle on that perfect Christmas night. Girls were giggling amongst each other as they did their hair and put on their dresses. Guys sweated anxiously and readjusted their dress robes constantly. Padma Patil had begun the finishing touches of her lipstick when she heard her best friend speak up from behind her.

"Are you excited to go with Ron?" Estella asked.

"Considering that I know I'm his last resort, not entirely," Padma confessed.

"Ron is sweet, I'm sure it'll be fun," Estella reassured her.

"Not if he's going to mope around over Hermione the whole time," Padma said rolling her eyes.

"Well if you become miserable, just come find me," Said Estella.

"What kind of friend would I be if interrupted you and Draco's-" Padma started but stopped when she turned around to see Estella with her dress on.

"What?" Estella asked with wide eyes that were looking over her dress," actually, don't tell me. I'll just-"

"Draco is going to be on his knees," Padma interrupted.

"Oh Merlin, I told you not to say anything," Estella said blushing. She walked over to the mirror to see her reflection. Her curled black hair fell perfectly past her shoulders. Two strands from the front were twisted back to create the slight illusion of a crown. The dress fit her in the right ways and complimented her skin. She felt beautiful.

"Are you ready for your wedding?" Padma asked.

Estella rolled her eyes playfully before answering, "you go ahead, I forgot one thing."

"Are you telling the truth or are you just wanting to make a grand entrance?" Padma asked as she walked out.

Estella laughed before walking over to the small box that held the bracelet Draco had given her. She put it on her wrist before giving herself one last look in the mirror.

The snow was still falling gracefully when Estella walked out into the courtyard. She spotted the platinum haired boy pacing back and forth while taking his hands in and out of his pockets.

"You know you can't really see the stars when it's snowing," Estella spoke up.

The boy turned around and was immediately taken aback. Estella watched as his eyes grew while his mouth slightly hung open. The boy took in her appearance as if he was seeing a sunset for the very first time. After a moment, the girl looked down and placed a piece of hair behind her ear.

"You're absolutely breathtaking," Draco finally said.

When Estella looked back up, she saw that the boy had moved closer to her. She could see the admiration in his eyes which only made her heart flutter even more.

"It's not much," she slyly shrugged with a playful smile.

"Not much?" the boy scoffed, "you look like a snow queen."

His hand reached for a strand of hair slightly hanging in her face.

"Almost too perfect to touch," he said in a daze.

The two locked eyes without realizing how much closer they had gotten. Estella could feel her heart beating out of her chest. It was almost too much at once.

"I'm freezing," Estella said, breaking the moment.

Draco chuckled and replied, "we can go inside, the ball should be starting soon anyways."

The boy stuck his arm out for the girl to take. She interlocked her arm with a warm smile on her face. The two walked in a comfortable silence and every now and then, Estella would catch Draco glancing at her. The night had barely begun and she already felt as if she were floating on air.
