Theodore
"So, what's up with you," Rob asked as he sat beside me on the large sectional in my team's V.I.P section. "I ain't seen you in a minute bruh."
"I know. Ball has been keeping me busy. And you've been pretty busy with my baby," I said referring to his daughter Ava who was a spitting image of Hazel.
I swear Ava was supposed to be me and Victoria's baby. We were supposed to get married and have kids before any of our other friends, but the tables turned. We seemed like we'd be the most prepared but things slowly began to crumble around us. And while Victoria and I still can't stomach to be around each other for long, all of our friends have moved on and started families. Rob and Hazel are engaged and have a daughter, Nasty Nate's got a little boy and Rick's got two sons. Life was slowly passing us by, and we're still playing games.
I thought Victoria would have caved by now and gave into me, but she's held out for over five years. I can't say I don't miss her, because I really do, but I couldn't wait on her to make the first move. I had to keep my life going, so I'm dating Charlotte now and I'm happy with her, I'm really happy. She treats me well and that's all I can ask for.
Rob smiled. "Yeah, Ava says she misses her Uncle Teddy."
I laughed, remembering when Ava first started talking. She could barely pronounce 'Mama' or 'Dada', so I knew she wouldn't be able to pronounce 'Theodore.' I just started going by 'Teddy' since I knew she'd be able to pronounce that.
"And her Aunt Tori," Rob added, but I just waved him off.
"You know Ion fuck with her no more like that. You need to chill with that shit. You got her number, and I'm sure Hazel does, maybe y'all should give her a call and tell her to stop by."
"You know she only shows up to shit like every month. Her ass changed one y'all broke up. You seen her Instagram recently?" He asked.
I sighed and nodded my head. It might not seem like a big deal, but even after all of these years I still follow her on social media. Since we're not communicating in person, the only way I can make sure she's okay is through social media. I still like a few of her pictures, but I'm sure she doesn't even notice me since all of these other random niggas stay liking her pictures.
"Yeah. Who been cookin' her food lately?" I asked once I noticed something different about her on a few of her pictures.
Rob shrugged his shoulders as he took his glass of Patron to the head. "Shit," he groaned, rubbing his throat. "I don't even know, why?"
"That ass been getting fat. She must be eating Mama's corn bread," I laughed, causing Rob to laugh too.
"Yeah, I ain't said shit but it has. Racks getting big too," He added.
I nodded my head. "Hell yeah," I laughed.
It's funny how she's been so flat all of her life, and now at 27 years old, she's finally growing into her body and getting thick. I don't know what she's been doing but she should have been doing that years ago. I can only imagine the kind of fun we would have had if she looked and dressed the way she does now.
"You seen Malaysia's show recently?" I asked, reminiscing back to the last week when I saw Malaysia's set at The Player's Club. She's been in the game for a minute, so I always knew she had some talent if they kept her at the club for so long and used her to lure guys like Rob and I to the club. I never bothered to see her dance up until a couple of years ago. Now, I find myself going to the club a couple of times of month with the team to support her, but it's not like she even needs it. She can get a full house, like she's already done, and they'll only come to see her.
