Ana sat silently listening to the President of the USA, lectures her.
"As the president," the president said glaring at Ana, "I am obligated to remind you that what you did could put our country in jeopardy…"
"I know and I sincerely apologize but…" Ana started, but was stop when the president put a hand up.
"But as a woman with two teenage daughters, I'd like to thank you." she smiled at Natasha and Steve, "Captain, Agent Rogers, you have raised her right."
Natasha shook the president's hand, "Oh thank you, ma'am."
Ana looked at the president, "Wait! I just made matters worse for US and your thanking us?"
"It is no secret that you are a role model to everyone— especially young girls— and by you telling a prince, a high and mighty prince that you are dumping him, it makes the high school football star that treats his girlfriend like an object look like trash, and more girls would gain the confidence to dump their abusive boyfriends. You and the new Avengers are very approachable and real."
"Meaning?"
"People see you and Ms. Stark buying tampons…"
"And that make us relatable?" Ana scoffed.
"Yes."the president smiles, "Girls need a role model that can be both strong and is not afraid to show emotions."
Ana looks at her parents and raised her eyebrow.
The president looked at Ana and nodded, "You may go…" When Ana stood up and the three heroes were about to leave, the president called back "Never loose that fire, Ms. Rogers."
Ana smiles back and nods, before she left.
Outside the meeting room, Morgan was pacing the hall, anxiously. While Lila desperately twiddled her thumbs, as Nathan stomped his foot with anticipation and Cooper drumbed his fingers in the arm of the seat.
"Stop it!" Bruce held Morgan's shoulders in his huge green hands to stop her, "Ana is gonna be fine."
"How do you know?!" Lila demanded. Lila stood up, "When we were younger and Ana was sent to the principal's office she'd text me to come before either Aunt Nat or Uncle Steve comes. She was always paranoid that she's in trouble, which of course, she never was; but still I worry!"
"Oh Ana." Morgan ran towards her friend and embraced her, "What on earth happened in there?!"
Ana glanced at Morgan with an unreadable expression.
"Nat?" Clint looked at his best friend, "What happened?"
"Did she get in trouble?" Tony asked Steve.
"Then what?!" Cooper demanded.
"Ana?" Lila looked into her friend's eyes.
"I… um… we… the president… told me that we were role models… to children." Ana explained, "Turns out we are approachable."
