Chapter 12

Crystal's POV

A light flooded into my eyes as I heard the curtains being drawn open, I groaned and turned around, making myself comfortable again. Mornings suck.

I felt something jump onto the bed, making me open my eyes and get up quickly, Harvey was in front of me on all fours, smirking at me.

"Holiday time"

Oh, I'd forgotten about that, even though we spent all of yesterday packing our stuff.

I got out of bed slowly, and put on one of my oversized tops, to cover the still growing baby bump. I'm over 7 months along now, and I'm gradually getting more and more excited.

We heard a knocking at the door so Harvey went to answer it, I carefully walked down the stairs, finding myself face to face with Jordan.

I smiled and nodded to him, and we both walked into the living area where Casey had just sat down.

I looked back at Jordan to find him staring at her again. He definitely likes her, there's no doubt about that.

Harvey explained all of the regulations to her, and before long, we heard out to the car which already contained all of our luggage.

I sat in the front seat next to Harvey, and he excitedly put his seatbelt on, ready to go.

"This holiday isn't just for Jordan, I booked it for us too, to have some fun alone before our little girl is born."

I giggled, and placed my hand on my belly, feeling the movement of my unborn baby girl.

Harvey reached over and put his hands over mine, and he looked into my eyes, excitement and love etched into them.

He started the car and we started to drive.

I looked out of the window as we drove, and I spotted two people waking on the pavement alongside the road.

"Oh hey, it's Mitch and Jerome."

Harvey looked at them and pulled up alongside them, I rolled down the window to meet with their confused faces.

"Hey Merome." Harvey said, leaning on his arm rest. Mitch rolled his eyes and Jerome smiled, realising who we were.

"Hey CrySeto...Blimey Crystal, you're big."

I laughed, and placed my hand on my belly again.

"So, where you off too?" Mitch said, putting his arm around Jerome's shoulder in a friendly manner, or was it?

"We're off on holiday, to Cyprus."

Jerome's face turned surprised.

"Oh really? If you're going by plane, please be safe, there's a storm over France which could damage the plane."

Harvey shook his head.

"Thanks, we'll be fine. Nothing will happen. Anyway, We'll see you guys when we get back?"

Mitch nodded and started to walk again.

"You bet"

I laughed and rolled up the window. Harvey started to drive again so I put my headphones on so I didn't distract him.

My head started to feel weird as we took off from the airport. I looked out of the tiny window to watch the world gradually getting smaller.

I was excited for this place ride, as it will be my first and I don't know what to expect.

As we went up higher, I watched the buildings grow smaller, and the people looked like grains of sand. It was like one of those play mats that children play with.

My vision was soon obscured as we entered through the clouds, enveloping the sky in a white blanket.

"Enjoying the view?" Harvey asked, leaving over to look out of the window himself.

"Yeah, it looks beautiful." I replied, the clouds looked like you could just get out and walk on them, like a different world. Like it had been non stop snowing for 20 years.

"That doesn't look beautiful though." Harvey said, pointing at a murky black cloud that we were fast approaching.

My face screwed up as I looked at the cloud, it was so gray it was almost black, and it swirled around the sky like a disease in a crowd.

I looked closer, and I could faintly see the lightning bolts rocketing through the cloud, travelling like snakes.

I sighed as the plane drove towards it. I retrieved my hand luggage and took out my headphones and phone, I placed them on my head and started to listen to music.

My eyes landed on Harvey, and found him asleep. Already?

I turned the music up, considering I won't be talking to Harvey anytime soon, and my body started to grow warmer, but mainly in my stomach area.

Was something wrong?

I closed my eyes and walked my power to check on the baby, I saw her there, her tiny eyes were closed and her hands were by her mouth.

She was fine, what was that I was feeling then?

I shrugged and looked out of the window again, as the lighting had suddenly gone really dark, I soon found out why. We were in the dark cloud.

I started to get worried, the lightning was zooming past us, and was dangerously close to hitting the plane.

"Harvey?" I whispered, patting him on the stomach, waking him up instantly.

"Huh, wha?" He murmured, opening his eyes slightly, once he saw the condition outside, his eyes snapped open.

"Wowowowow why are we flying through this? This isn't safe?"

I looked around at the other passengers on the plane, who were looking outside and asking questions among themselves.

I held my bump, as I did when I got nervous, Harvey held one of my hands.

I really want this journey to end soon...

Attention passengers, as you may see, we are currently traveling in a very dangerous situation, may I please ask that you fasten your seatbelts and try not to worry, if I could change the route I would, but I'm not allowed. This is your pilot speaking, stay calm.

I looked around at everyone, they seemed to have grown nervous and were shuffling around in their seats.

Suddenly, a massive noise erupted through the plane, I instantly looked out of the window, and gasped.

A lightning bolt hit one of the engines, and its not working...

I looked at Harvey, pure panic in my eyes. I felt a tear start to emerge as Harvey hugged me, comforting me and telling me it will be okay.

The plane is going to crash, what if we die?
