Harvey's POV

I pulled up to the clearing outside the forest area, my hands gripped the steering wheel tightly.

I had that voice in the back of my head saying that something was wrong.

I got out of the car, and wasting no time, heading inside the trees, during each of them as I ran.

I heard voices, so I headed towards there, I came to a stop when I saw a huddled up figure being approached by agents.

Mystery...

She was huddling into a baby, as if to protect her. Melody.

I ran as fast as I could and positioned myself in front of the pair, protecting both of them.

One of the agents smiled, and charged towards me. I held up my hands and let my magic knock them back.

The other agents stayed away, wary of their actions, I looked at each of them in the eye, letting my hatred be known to them.

"What do you think you're doing? You're manipulating my friends to hurt my family, I will NOT allow that! I know well that I am the most powerful sorcerer living, but I do nothing to boast, I could easily kill each and every one of you right now...but I'm not, because I'm a good guy.

So leave my family alone! Because next time, I won't let you off!"

The agents nodded, and got to their feet, all running away from me, shamed.

I calmed myself down, and peeked down to face the pair on the floor. I knew Mystery had been manipulated, what else would they have done to her?

I placed my hand on her back, grabbing her attention. She looked up, and jumped when she saw me.

"Harvey?"

I nodded, and helped Mystery to her feet, Melody looked around, and grabbed when her eyes landed on me.

"Daaaaa!"

I smiled, and took Melody into my arms, she held on to me, happy to have me back.

Mystery looked up at me.

"I'm so, so so so so so sorry Harvey, they brainwashed me."

I nodded, understanding her, but a question sprung into my mind.

"How do you remember? If they brainwashed you, how do you remember now?"

Mystery pointed at Melody.

"She did it, she cast a spell and made me remember."

I glanced down at Melody, who was playing with my finger, she had her headphones on! Of course!

"Oh wow"

Mystery smiled, wiping the tears from her eyes.

"Is Crystal alright?"

I looked down, the query for her rising up again.

"I don't know, Jordan took her to the hospital."

As if on cue, my mobile phone started to ring, I took it out of my pocket and examined the caller ID.

Jordan

"Oh look, the one and only." I joked, and answered the call.

"Jordan"

Harvey, hey, do you have Melody?

"Yeah, I got her back, how is Crystal doing?"

Well, that's why I'm calling you

"What's wrong?"

Well... when she got hit on the head, it did some damage.

"She has brain damage?"

No, not exactly, but the impact knocked it around a bit, and in turn, she developed amnesia.

"What!"

Yeah, Harvey, she doesn't remember me.

"Does she remember me, or Melody, or anyone?"

I asked her, she said her name was Crystal Evergold, which is her maiden name.

"So-"

Yeah, she forgot you, you need to get here quickly

" I.... will do."

I hung up, and placed my phone in my pocket. Tears started to form in my eyes.

"What's the matter?" Mystery asked, looking concerned.

I looked up at her, fighting back the years, but failing.

"Crys- um... Crystal got...amnesia. She...She doesn't remember me."
