Crystal's POV
**************
I sat on the sofa, bored out of my mind, Mitch and Jerome had left, and Melody was asleep in her cot.
I stood up and approached Harvey, who say with his knees up, reading a newspaper again.
"Harvey?" I asked, slapping my hand onto his knee. He slowly lowered his newspaper and jokingly raised his eyebrows at me.
"We've been stuck inside the house for ages, let's go for a walk." I suggested.
Harvey smiled and leaped out of his seat. I laughed at his excitement and headed over to the closet, where our unused baby pram (pushchair idk...) sat.
I picked it up and carried it out, I placed it in the middle of the living area and tried to figure out how to open it up.
I read the instructions booklet, and did as it told me too. The pram flung open, and was perfect.
Harvey walked in, carrying a still asleep Melody. How he had managed to get her without waking her up, I don't know.
He gently placed her inside the pram and I lay her favourite blanket over her.
I decided to push the pram while Harvey walked alongside, so Harvey opened the front door.
We stepped through and embraced the fresh air, I'd been stuck in the house since Melody was born, so it felt good to be out again.
I looked down to see that Melody had opened her eyes and was trying to look around.
"The park?" I asked Harvey, earning a nod and a smile in return. He wrapped his arm around my waist and we started to walk.
We earned many looks from passer-bys, considering we were well known in the neighbourhood, we knew almost everybody.
We approached the park, and as usual, it was thriving. Teenage boys were playing football, toddlers were playing with their parents.
We walked down the path, and I sat down on the bench. Melody had started to wriggle around.
I undid her straps, and picked her up. She looked around, curious as to where she was, even though she couldn't really see properly yet.
Harvey made his way to the front of us, and started to pull funny faces and jump around.
After a minute, he stopped and looked at me with a massive beam on his face.
"She's smiling!"
I turned myself so I could see her face, and sure enough, a wide toothless grin covered her face.
I laughed and hugged her from behind gently, a new excitement rising inside of me.
Melody is growing up really fast.
My attention was grabbed when I spotted an elderly couple walk through the gates.
They looked strangely familiar, as if I'd seen them before... Then I remembered.
I'd seen them in McDonald's, I'd seen them in the hospital when Harvey was shot. How they had looked familiar then.
I pulled Melody in closer, and Harvey sat on the bench, giving me a confused look.
I don't know why, but I'm nervous, I don't know what these people have in common with me, but they make me nervous, they always have.
I watched them out of the corner of my eye, waiting until they passed us, but they didn't, they stopped in front of us.
"Um, hello, can I help you?" Harvey asked. The couple looked at eachother and smiled.
"Yes, I'd like to speak to my daughter please."
My head snapped up, meeting with the ladies hazel eyes. It was then I remembered.
These are my parents.
"Um, I'm sure you got the wrong people." Harvey said, noticing that I was uncomfortable.
Melody started to get restless, possibly noticing my nervousness, she started moaning.
"No, I'm sure that Crystal is my daughter." She said. Harvey looked at me, nervousness on his face.
"And I see that I have a grandchild as well?" She said, starting to dig in to us.
Harvey put his arm around my waist, letting me know that he was there.
"What do you want with me?" I asked, keeping my gaze on my daughter, not wanting to look up.
"I think the real question is... how on earth are you alive?" The man said, crossing his arms.
I felt something being taken from my pocket, and Harvey stood up, putting my phone in his pocket.
I gave him Melody and he walked at me, pointing at his pocket. I knew what he was going to do.
Once he had gone, they started again.
"So, answer our question, how?"
How was I going to do this?
"Did you ever give me a funeral?"
They looked at eachother.
"No"
"Then how do you know I actually died?"
They looked at me, eyes wide, but their expressions told me they weren't giving in.
"Um, you should be 41, how to you still look so young?"
Damnit. They got me.
"Do you believe in a thing called magic." I asked, holding my hands up, checking to see if anyone was around. There weren't, so I let my magic free, flowing into the pair.
"This conversation never happened, you tried to murder me 5 years ago and never got caught by the police." I said.
The magic shouted flowing into them, and they both fainted. I had actually cast that spell on them.
Harvey ran over, spotting the two unconscious figures.
"I called the police, they're on their w- hold on, what happened here?"
I looked down at the two bodies, and shrugged.
"I cast a spell on them, manipulated their mind so they don't remember this. They don't remember this conversation and they tried to murder me 5 years ago."
Harvey nodded.
"Okay, good idea, I guess that'll work."
I noticed there was something missing.
"Um, Harvey? Where's Melody?"
Harvey looked around, and sighed in relief when Jordan showed up behind him, holding Melody securely.
"Found him walking through."
I nodded and sighed, and looked at the two unconscious bodies at my feet.
At least I won't have to worry about them for much longer...
