Chapter 6

Crystal's POV

I sat back on the sofa, relaxing a little bit. Jordan was here with me. It was my day off from work, so Jordan had been so kind as to buy me a hot chocolate and bring it to me.

Harvey was at work, poor soul. I know how boring it can be, sitting on your own all day.

I'm over halfway through now, almost 5 months, I am very noticeably pregnant, and she doesn't stop moving.

Speaking of moving, I can feel her now. I tap Jordan and grab his hand, placing it down on the area where he could feel it.

He smiled when he felt it, and looked at me with excitement in his eyes, I had told him when she was moving, but he had never felt it before.

I smiled back at him, and he took his hand away when the moving stopped, still grinning.

"Woah, there IS a baby in there! I thought you were just getting fat." He said to me, smirking.

I laughed and pushed him onto the floor, where he sat up and pouted at me, clutching his leg.

I rolled my eyes at him, him and Harvey are so alike in so many ways, it's adorable.

He hadn't really grown up from when he was 5. I could give him that. He sat back up on the sofa, suddenly looking genuinely sad.

"Crystal, can I tell you something? But you have to promise to not tell anyone else." He said, staring intently into my eyes.

I nodded, and he looked down at the floor.

"Crystal, since I first saw you at the party, I actually started to fall in love with you, and I couldn't stop it. Crystal, I love you. But I know I can't have you."

I looked at him, tears started to form in his eyes. I felt bad for him and pulled him into a hug.

"Please can our friendship not be ruined by what I said. It's just the way I feel. Can we still be friends?"

I pulled away and smiled at him.

"Of course, why would that stop us from being friends?"

He looked down at the floor and shrugged his shoulders. It was then I heard something smash.

I stood up instantly, but Jordan stopped me, and slowly walked to the window, looking towards the area where something broke.

I joined him, and gasped at what I saw.

Somebody had broken our window to the kitchen and was climbing inside, from what I saw of him, he was dressed pretty casually, but had a badge on his shirt.

I looked closely, there were 3 letters on the badge.

FBI...

Jordan noticed this too, and we heard footsteps from the kitchen area. Jordan spun me round to face him.

"Hide, I'll call Harvey."

I nodded and quietly ran upstairs, I hid in my wardrobe, where I usually hide when I'm scared.

I listened, I heard muffled talking. I heard somebody scream and something land on the floor.

Jordan...

I put my hand over my mouth, trying to stifle in crys for help, knowing that nobody will hear me.

This turned bad really quickly.

"I know you're here Crystal, you and your child. Come out, and things will be less harder for the both of us."

Tears formed in my eyes as I heard the words. I really wanted to scream, but I stopped myself.

"Come on Crystal, don't be difficult. You know you are a threat to this world. I have watched you for a while now. You married one of the most powerful sorcerers in the world, and you are carrying his child, which will be even stronger. We need to get rid of you before the world suffers."

The tears started to fall, and I blinked to get them out of my eyes. I heard the footsteps start to get louder.

Come out come out wherever you are. I will find you.

The footsteps stopped, right outside the wardrobe doors, I could see his shadow. The doors opened, and I was faced with my killer.

He seemed the knife for me, and I closed my eyes, waiting for my inevitable death...
