Chapter 10

Harvey's POV

I opened the front door and walked through it. Sighing deeply as I entered.

I've sorted it, I just need to tell Crystal while Jordan isn't around.

I looked around, I saw Jordan sitting on the sofa, but Crystal was nowhere to be seen.

She's up in your bedroom

I nodded, making at how Jordan knew what I was thinking, or maybe he read my facial expression.

I nodded and sat down next to him. He looked down at the floor and seemed really glum.

"Are you alright?" I asked, going to put my hand on his back, but my hand fell straight through him.

Yeah, I just get that feeling though. What happens if you can't get me out of this, will I be stuck like this forever?

I looked up at him, his dark brown eyes shrouded in misery, if he was able to cry, I think he would be doing that now.

"We will get you out of this, would you rather be dead? Miss our child and your godchild growing up?"

I smiled as the memory popped up of me asking Jordan to be the God father of our child, he had jumped up out of his seat and tried to hug me, but found himself unable to.

No, I want to watch that happen. But Harvey, can you tell me the truth, please? Can you help me?

I looked down, and looked back up at him, running my plan through my head.

"Yes"

Jordan smiled and lay down, closing his eyes. This will be the perfect time.

I sneaked upstairs and entered our bedroom. Where Crystal was reading a book.

She looked up, and when she saw me, she put her book down and stood up to hug me.

"Don't strain yourself sweetheart, just relax." I told her, kissing her and she sat back on the bed.

"I'm fine." She replied.

I smiled and sat down on the bed next to her.

"Anyway, I have a plan."

Her eyes widened and seemed to shine a little brighter. She knew exactly what I meant.

"Tell, tell, tell" she said, jumping up and down on the bed slightly.

"Well, back when I lived in my orphanage, I was best friend with this girl, who was a sorceress, and while I was talking to Jordan yesterday, I remembered her. So when I disappeared yesterday and didn't tell you where I was, I was talking to her. And I asked her to meet up in the library today..."

~**Flashback**~

My feet trapped against the library for, as I waited for my childhood best friend to arrive.

She didn't live that far away, which I was surprised about, but I guess it's a small world. Crystal's parents could be living nearby, who knows?

The door opened, and my heart jumped to my mouth. I've wanted to see her again for so long.

I studied the girl that was walking through the door. She had straight long brown hair, and icy blue eyes. She was also pretty short. She was perfect for Jordan.

She looked at me, and her hand slapped her mouth in surprise.

"Harvey? Is that...you?"

I nodded, and stepped out from behind my desk to take her into a hug.

"Hello Casey."

Her icy blue eyes met mine, and tears were starting to form in hers.

"It's been so long, I've heard a lot about you. I heard you had married?"

I nodded, and took a photo of Crystal out from my pocket to show her, she smiled as she looked at the photo.

"She is beautiful, you did good for yourself."

I took the photo back and placed it back in my pocket. I looked back down at her.

"We are expecting a child too." I said, smiling as I spoke. She jumped up and down and hugged me.

"Awwwwwwwh, boy or girl?"

"Girl"

She held out her hand for a high five, and I slapped my hand against hers, it was then her face turned serious.

"So, what is this job you wanted me to do that you really needed me to do or you were going to be really upset?" She said, smiling at me.

I blushed at my choice of words from the phone call, but explained to her the details.

"Um, this is going to sound weird, but my best friend died...in my house, and he is trapped there as a ghost, he cannot leave."

She laughed.

"That's not the weirdest thing I've heard...carry on."

I smiled, and talked on.

"Me and Crystal have arranged a holiday to Cyprus, and we leave for 2 weeks. Would you be able to look after my best friend while I'm gone?"

She smiled and nodded.

"Sure, can I meet him soon?"

"We leave in about a month, you can come round tomorrow if you want, just to get to know him and stuff like that."

"That will be good."

~**Flashback End**~

"Oh, that's a good plan. But I didn't know about this holiday..." Crystal said, smirking.

I leaned forward and kissed her.

"My surprise to you. We can get some alone time before the baby is born, and if things go well, maybe Jordan and Casey will fall in love."

Crystal lay back on the bed.

"Is she a sorcerer of love?"

I nodded.

"Yeah, I asked her and she said she was."

Crystal laughed, and took me into a hug.

"I can't wait, thank you so much Harvey!" She said, kissing me.

"Your welcome" I replied, kissing her back.
