Crystal's POV
**************
I shivered as I woke up. It's going to be a cold day... I turned over and was faced with an empty space next to me.
Where did Harvey go?
I looked myself up out of bed and got changed. It was very quiet, something I hadn't experienced for a while.
First I walked to Melody's room, I opened the door slightly and peeked in.
She lay in her cot, still fast asleep, her belly rose and fell at each breath she took.
I quietly closed the door again, and headed back to my room. I grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around me. Shielding me from the cold.
I walked downstairs, and checked all of the rooms, all empty. Where is Harvey?
I entered the kitchen, and found a post it note lying on the counter. I picked it up, curious as to what it said, and read.
Meeting up with an old friend, like I said yesterday. Considering you're coming too... I'll see you in a bit? Maybe?
love Harvey
I put down the post it note and started to prepare me and Melody some food.
I'd forgotten about that. I have to meet my manager soon, like I'd promised... oops.
I poured a small amount of milk into the bottle and let it warm up in the microwave.
I headed back upstairs, and opened the door to Melody's room again. I slowly approached the cot and glanced down at my daughter.
She was laying on her side with her hands up to her face, snoring lightly, I sighed and stroked her cheek.
This is one of the only times that she is this peaceful. I really don't want to ruin that, but oh well.
I rubbed her belly, and she opened her eyes. She rolled onto her back and stared up at me.
"Hey sweetheart, good morning." I said, tickling her tummy slightly. She giggled and stretched, letting out a big yawn in the process.
"You're adorable." I muttered, picking her up and laying her in on one of my arms. I held out my other arm, and she grabbed it, starting to play with my fingers as I walked back down the stairs.
I grabbed the bottle from the kitchen and sat down on the sofa in the living area.
I checked the temperature of the milk by pouring some on my wrist, and began to feed her.
I wrapped the blanket around both of us as I fed her, getting her ready and happy to meet my boss.
---------
I picked up Melody from the little swing chair that we bought her, and put on her coat.
I don't want her getting too cold, or ill.
I had decided to carry her there, the pram would be too much off a hassle for us.
I picked her up so she could see over my shoulder, and put my hand up to the back of her head to support it.
I walked out of the house and locked it behind me. This was one of the only times I had left the house without Harvey.
I'm not being clingy or anything, but it just feels weird. Since I was brought back, we had done everything together.
Melody started to mumble as I walked along, I turned my head to face her, and kissed her on the forehead.
She giggled, and grabbed hold of my hair, tightly. I laughed and shivered at the same time.
I noticed that we were approaching the cafe, and breathed a huge sigh of relief, causing a white cloud to appear in front of my face.
I looked into the cafe to find my manager waiting for me, and looking somewhere else, possibly at Harvey.
They seemed to be the only ones in there at the time. I opened the door to the cafe, attracting my manager's attention.
She looked at me, but her eyes were filled with sorrow, and anger. I have her a confused look, and she pointed towards Harvey.
I looked at them, and gasped at what I saw...
Harvey and a girl were sitting at a table together, but not just friendly chatting...
They...they were...kissing.
I looked at my manager, and she nodded at me, giving me permission to leave.
I looked back over at Harvey, and he pulled away from the girl, his gaze instantly transfixed onto me, and a rush of panic swept across his face.
I glanced back at my boss, a tear appearing in my eye as I realised what was going on.
"I'll come back again soon."
My manager nodded and I turned and sped through the door. Being careful not to harm Melody, who had started to cry.
I felt tears forcing their way out of my eyes as I walked, I kissed Melody again, which calmed her down.
Why would he do this to me? He knew I was coming... did he plan the whole thing?
I looked back at Melody to find she had fallen asleep, I cuddled into her, giving her as much warmth as possible.
I blinked the tears out of my eyes, and approached our house. I unlocked the door, and calmly walked in, locking it behind me.
I walked up the stairs quickly, and placed Melody in her cot, before I hurt her in any way.
I ran to our bedroom and collapsed onto the bed. The tears falling rapidly now.
I felt my power try to escape, so I let it. I opened my tearful eyes and my magic was glowing red, with a hint of purple.
That has never happened before, my magic is originally purple.
I grabbed my blanket and wrapped it around me. And I broke down, I started to cry, worse than ever before.
I cried for hours, it seemed like, until my body gave in and I fell asleep.
