*LOUIS' POV*

A nurse walks in.

"Mrs. Rixton." She calls to Jesse.

I frown at what she called Jesse.

"Yes?" Jesse answers.

"You have to stay in the hospital for two weeks." She informs Jesse.

I hear Jesse grumble in annoyance next to me. I chuckle.

The nurse walks over to me.

"She has a few broken bones so be careful if you touch her. She has only a little brain damage so she might say things that she doesn't mean. Her brain damage will get better these two weeks along with her bones." She informs me as she walks out.

I look over at Jesse.

All of a sudden I remember the little girl that Jesse was holding the other day.

"Hey, who was that kid you were holding yesterday." I ask.

"Who?" She asks.

"The little girl." I tell her.

"Oh. She's my daughter, Ella." She grins.

"I happen to remember that she had....bright blue eyes. Chase has dark blue eyes while you have green ones." I nervously ask.

Her face changes from grinning to as nervous as I probably look.

"Yes?" She asks.

"I can't help but think that she looks a bit like me." My heart starts pounding against my chest nervously.

She takes a deep breathe. "Yes. You're her father." She tells me.

Shit! I remember when I slept with her, we both forgot a condom. I stand from the chair. I pace back and forth as I run my fingers through my hair.

"Are you mad at me?" She asks, her voice shakes.

I stand still and look at her.

"No, but I can't believe it. I have a kid." I say the last sentence to myself.

I turn my back to her. I rest my forehead on the wall. I smile to myself as reality hits me.

I've got a kid!

I sit back in the chair next to her while smiling.

"Why are you smiling?" She asks.

"Because, I'm happy." I tell her.

"About what?" She asks.

"That I've got a kid." I tell her.

"I thought you'd be pissed at me, that's why I left. I was afraid." She asks.

I stare at her like she's mad.

"Jesse, I've got loads of little sisters that I take care of and love, it's quiet obvious that I like kids." I tell her.

"Well it's just that you don't look like that type and you always looked so angry." She says.

"Well I didn't have the best childhood." I tell her.

"Oh. What happened?" She asks.

I get an angry feeling.

"You don't have to tell me, I'm sorry." She says.

"No, it's okay, you'll find out sooner or later, you deserve to know." I tell her.

"My dad, he abused my mum, he was an alcoholic. He left my mum when I was 10. My mum got depressed. She found a job and would always be gone, constantly. One day my dad tried taking me while my mum was on a business trip. I started getting more and more angry as I grew older and I started getting into trouble." I explain.

I scratch the back of my neck.

I look down at the ground.

She grabs my hand closest to her.

"I'm sorry Lou. I wish I could-" I cut her off.

"Don't. I'm fine." I tell her in a low voice.

*JESSE'S POV*

He becomes distant.

I wish I could get out of this stupid bed and hug and kiss him.

I hear the door open with someone rushing in.

I look over to see Zella with my little girl.

Ella runs to me.

"Mummy, are you okay?" She asks as tears threaten to spill.

"I'm fine sweetheart." I smile at her.

Zella looks over at Louis and walks out while closing the door behind her.

"That's the man from yesterday!" Ella points out the obvious. I laugh.

"Yes it is."

"Who are you?" She asks Louis.

Louis looks over at me.

He gulps.

"Uuuhh, I'm-" I cut him off.

"Ella, remember how Chase wasn't your real daddy?" I ask her. She nods in response.

"Well this is your real daddy." I tell her.

She looks at me in a confused way. She looks up at Louis.

He looks at her nervously.

She jumps up and hugs him.

Louis slowly places his hand on her small back and hugs her back.

Well this is adorable.

She pulls away from him and pecks him on his cheek. Louis grins, his eyes brightening.

She gets off his lap and looks up at me.

"Mummy, how long do you have to stay here?" She asks.

"Two weeks, sweetheart." I answer.

Her face falls.

"Before you know it I'll pick you up and we can go home." I try lightening up her mood.

Zella walks in.

"How are you doing?" She asks.

"I'm fine." I answer as she hugs me.

"Can you take car of Ella for two weeks, I have to stay here," I ask.

She nods as she takes Ella with her.

"She's adorable." Louis grins.

"Yeah." I say, deep in thought.
