Chapter 82: Doctor

*JESSE'S POV*

I am now a month and a half in pregnancy. Louis is driving us to the hospital right now for my appointment.

All through today Louis has been paranoid. I look over at him. My eyes travel to his hands that are gripping the steering wheel. His grip is tighter than usual. He looks so tense that it worries me.

"Louis, are you okay?" I ask.

He doesn't answer.

Louis walks with me into the hospital's room to check me.

After a while the doctor walks in.

"Okay, so what's the problem?" He asks.

Just as I open my mouth Louis answers, "Her belly has started growing earlier than the first time she was pregnant."

Even by his voice you can tell that he is nervous.

There is a moment of silence.

"Well there are a few things that could cause it." He says. I also start to get nervous.

"What could those things be?" I ask.

"Miscarriage, something could be wrong with the baby, and one more that instead of bad news, it's good news." He says.

"We have to watch as the months go by." He says.

"Lay down." The doctor orders. I sit down on the check up table I lay down.

He gets out that all too familiar gel. Louis pulls his chair next to me and holds my hand.

Shivers go down my back because of the cold gel.

The screen pops on. I don't really understand it yet.

"Okay, it's nothing bad thankfully." He smiles.

I let out a relieved air.
Louis' hand now isn't as tight.

"What is it then?" I ask.

"Since it's good news would you rather wait till the 9 months are over or would you want me to tell you?" He asks."

"Yes!" Louis ays.
"No, I want it to be a surprise!" I say at the same time Louis said yes.

"I'll just take the surprise like she is." He huffs.

"Okay then, well congratulations!" The doctor congratulates us.

Me and Louis walks out and into his car.

"I'm glad it's nothing bad." He lets out a relieved breath.

"Me too." I reply.

Louis lightly snores in his sleep next to me. A storm starts. I jump because of the sudden loud boom outside of the window.

As if it was automatic Louis wraps his arms around me and pulls me close in his sleep.

After a few minutes I hear the door open and close. I look up to see Ella.

"Mumma! The rain is scaring me." She shivers.

"Come here." I tell her. She walks up at the edge of the bed.

I try my best to reach over Louis and pick her up without waking him.  I place Ella I between Louis and I. She snuggles her favorite stuffed animal to her chest.

I peck her forehead.

"I love you." I tell her.

"Love you too mumma." She sleepily replies.

She quickly falls asleep.

I begin to think if what could be the surprise could be on my 9th month. Me and Louis have to tell Ella that she's going to be a big sister.

After a while of the loud booming of thunder and my thoughts I eventually fall asleep.

As my eyes slowly close I see Louis cuddling Ella to him.
That is just the cutest thing I've ever seen!

I lay my head back down above Ella's head.
