Torn (Book 2)

"Rin, Pyou, Tou, Sha, Kai, Jin, Retsu, Zai, Zen! Evil spirt it, be exorcized!"

Y/N POV

The power went out...

I take out my small, black flashlight and turn it on.

"You keep a flashlight on you?" Tokoyami questions.

"It doubles as a knife," I state.

"You day that like it's an explanation..." Mineta mumbles.

"It kind of is...she owns many knives and swords..." Tokoyami mumbles.

I scan the hallway on the boy's side.
Searching.

Then it hits me,
"We're f##king idiots!"

"What do you mean?" Tokoyami asks.

"In a horror movie, you should never split up...it always ends horribly..." I mumble, looking at the floor.

"IT'S IN MY ROOM!!!" Mineta squeals.

I take out six ofuda, three in each hand,
"Rin, Pyou, Tou, Sha, Kai, Jin, Retsu, Zai, Zen! Evil spirt it, be exorcized!"

The creepy dolls exiting Mineta's room get the ofuda stuck to them and are immobilized.

"...good...now I know it'll take more power than normal...they appear to be only immobilized...I'll be fine...I can handle slightly more powerful spirits...All is well...I hope..." I mumble in a whisper to myself.

Tokoyami wraps his arm around me.

...?

"Madame...are you scared?" Aoyama asks.

"No, this...is...nothing," I lie, surprisingly convincingly.

Tokoyami holds me closer to him.

Can...he...

I look at Tokoyami. It's dark but I can still see his expression. He seems...worried for me...

I look at Aoyama and Mineta. They aren't paying attention and are looking around, only paying attention to the light my flashlight brings.

I keep my arm that's holding the flashlight still, turn and give Tokoyami a short kiss on the cheek.

"Tokoyami...could you grab the immobilized dolls and keep up with them?" I ask in a whisper.

"Of course," Tokoyami say, removing his arm from around me and walking to pick up the dolls.

"There's more!!!!" Mineta screeches.

Shouto POV

We've already taken down all the dolls on the boy's side...they're so creepy...

We're now on the girl's side, searching.

When the power went out, Yaoyorozu made us all a flashlight.

I hear Yaoyorozu and Sero scream.
