'I don't want to lose you too...'

Himiko Toga POV

"I want ice cream!!!!!!!!!" I whine, sprawling out on the freakishly clean floor.

"I do as well!!! SHUT UP!!!" Twice exclaims, sprawling out on the floor near me.

"Do you think...we could convince Overhaul...if we asked nicely and are persistent enough..." I ask Twice.

Twice shrugs,
"Maybe."

Y/N POV

I pull up a chair up next to Kai.

I set down my paperwork on the table and get to work.

Kai works on his paperwork beside me.

Twice and Himiko then throw open the door and exclaim in sync,
"WE. WANT. ICE CREAM!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Ice cream sounds good...Kai, do you want ice cream?" I ask, looking at Kai.

He sighs and calls in Hari.

"Oooh! Coffee!" I mumble, taking both coffees off of the tray Hari is carrying.

I set one down in front of me and the other in front of Kai.

I then realize,
"Himiko! Jin!"

The three of us hug.

I then sit back in my seat.

"...So...do you really want ice cream?" Kai asks me.

"I wouldn't mind ice cream..." I shrug.

Kai stares at me.

He the sighs (again) and says to Hari,
"Chrono, could you get us each an ice cream?"

"Okay," Hari leaves.

I get back to my homework.

"...Hey, Clemy..."

"Yes, Himiko?"

"What are you doing?"

"I'm doing my math homework."

"...that's pretty boring..."

"Extremely...but it could be worse..."

"Worse?"

"This could be homework on the history of heroes...it could be stuff related to some ridiculous map nonsense...it could be some dumb writing assignment...Those are just a few examples...but...math...is okay-ish...compared to the rest..."

Himiko stares at me.

"Could you both leave the room while we do our individual work?" Kai asks, glancing up from his paperwork.

"But...ice cream..." Himiko mumbles.

"It'll be brought to you after you leave," Kai states.

They both sigh and trudge out of the room.

I continue with my work.

I glance over at Kai's paperwork.

It's the paperwork to put a person into an adoption center...I guess it's for that kid...what was their name? Eric? No...Elle? No...Edward? No...

Hmm...

Oh well.

It's probably not important...

I get back to work.

I soon finish it.

I put all the paperwork away.

I then get an alert on my phone.

I pick it up and see...
