"...I pinky promise, Mama..."

Tokoyami POV

I try to watch the movie...

But...

I can't...

Why are my feelings towards Y/N changing? What's going on? Why did I have that dream? I've never thought of Y/N as crazy or unstable...I've never thought she'd harm me in any way shape or form...

I look at Y/N.

She's just watching the movie, eating snacks.

Y/N glances at me then looks back at the screen.

She hesitantly leans against my shoulder.

I try to stay and calm and relaxed as possible.

I look at the tv and try to watch the movie.

Y/N POV

The movie idea...is very awkward.

After watching all the movies, I say goodbye to Tokoyami and start to clean up.

I then get a text.

I pick up my phone and read the message:

Kai: Could you channel Mizuko?

I stare at the screen.

What...?

Me: What do you mean?

Kai: You're training to be a spirit medium, correct?

Me: Yes...

Kai: Could you channel Mizuko?

I stare at my screen, eyes wide.

..Channel...Mizuko?

Me: ...

Me: I'll think about it...

Me: I have spirit medium training now...have a nice day, Kai...

Me: ( ^ω^ )

Kai: (:

I glare at my phone and put it away.

I take a deep breath and sit down on my bed.

Flashback

"If you don't mind me asking...What do you remember of your Mother?" Lee asks.

"Mama?" I ask for conformation.

Lee nods.

I think for a moment.

I remember Mama's scary face after being experimented on.

I remember her drinking and smoking habits.

I remember...

I pull my knees to my chest and whisper, squeezing my eyes shut,
"She's scary..."

I feel Kai place a hand on my shoulder,
"I'm sorry..."

Lee pets my head.

I then remember...

"Mama was calm sometimes, though..." I mumble, opening my eyes, remembering Mama's failed attempts at comfort and smiling...
"She...always tried to...'smile' and 'cheer me up'..."

Lee smiles,
"It's great that you're trying to think positive...but you don't have to force yourself to have a good opinion on someone who's hurt you...try to think of the truth..."
