So...a lot of people complained about the animation and the PowerPoint slide show... (Above are only two of many...)
Personally, I didn't think much of it. I wasn't emotional while reading the manga. I just saw and was like...
"Cool. He's getting some character development."
"Oh. His quirk is gone now. That's awesome. I hope this is brought up again in the future. It would be so cool if a more important character lost their quirk as well. Like Bakugo! It'd break him more and hurt more because he's an important character that wasn't just introduced! But...I highly doubt that'll happen...Oh well."

I think it would have been hilarious.
