"Hmm..." Jack mumbles as he walks aimlessly around the hallways of Sakurazaki Academy. Once more he has found himself with nothing to do, and the war against boredom is looking bleak. "What am I going to do?"

"Hey, what are you doing out here?" A voice asks. Jack slowly turns to his right to see a first year girl. She sports short brown hair that stops just above her shoulders, cobalt blue eyes, a white headband and she's wearing her PE uniform as opposed to her normal school uniform. "Are you heading to a club?"

"No, not really. What about you?" Jack asks back.

"I'm heading to the track to try and beat my time." The girl replies. "Wanna join me?"

"Sure, why not um..." Jack trails off, not knowing the girl's name.

"Sayaka." The girl replies, and Jack gives a thumbs up. Jack hits the lockers to change into his PE uniform, a simple white tee and blue shorts, before joining Sayaka on the track, and by the time he's gotten to the actual track, the first year is already done stretching out and is more than ready to start running. "So, you ready?"

"Sure, I'm ready." Jack says. "Say... What was your time on this track?"

"I've done the hundred metres dash in ten seconds flat." Sayaka replies. "Wanna see?"

"Sure." Jack says as he steps off into the grass. Jack takes note into her form as she gets low on the ground, ready to start running, and before he can even blink she's off! Jack may be much taller than Sayaka, but she makes up with her blinding speed as she finishes the dash! "Whoa..."

"I know right!" Sayaka replies as she jogs back over to him. "I wasn't really timing myself there but still, knowing that I can pull this off so quickly makes me pretty happy! Now it's your turn umm..."

"Jack." Jack says as he gets on the track. He counts down from three in his mind before bolting, and he can hear Sayaka cheering him on as he pushes himself more. The run seems longer than normal, but Jack fights on as he finishes the hundred metres dash and comes to a screeching halt.

"Nice!" Sayka cheers as she walks over to Jack. "I'd say that was about eleven seconds but hey, nobody's perfect."

"I'm not exactly as good of a runner as you may be but I'll take it." Jack chuckles. "Wanna run a lap around the whole track?"

"I don't see you around the track often. Are you sure you wanna do that?" Sayaka asks.

"I'm pretty sure." Jack replies.

"Alright, if you say so." Sayaka says as she starts running ahead. Jack tries his best to keep up with her, pushing his body further and further to make sure he doesn't fall behind. Three quarters of the way though, Jack starts feeling a strange sensation welling up inside him, but he pays it no mind. He does notice that Sayaka has slowed down a little bit, and she looks back at him every now and then with a worried look on her face. As soon as she completes her lap she waits for Jack to complete his, but suddenly, Jack's legs give out from under and he collapses as soon as he completes his lap. "Jack!"

"Gah..." Jack mumbles through gritted teeth. "My legs feel like they're on fire..."

"Did you think I wouldn't notice you trying to keep up with me?" Sayaka asks. "You shouldn't push yourself like that, especially that hard." She adds as she helps Jack get back on his feet. "Did you even drink any water?" At this moment Jack mentally facepalms as he realizes he didn't drink any before he decided to do all of this. "Well there's no point in complaining now, let's get you to the infirmary and make sure you didn't strain anything." She says as she helps Jack get to the infirmary.

Jack's thoughts: She seems like a really nice girl. I've heard her nickname as the queen of speed, but I've never really witnessed it until now. She's more than earned that nickname.
