Jack decides to hang out in the main building around the third year hallways, remembering his encounter with LOVEHEARTS.
"Man that took quite the toll on my voice." Jack says to himself. It's not long before a familiar redhead walks around. The all too familiar crescent moon hairclip and purple eyes are all that's needed for Jack to recognize this girl. "What's up Madoka-senpai?"
"Oh what's up? How come you're here?" Madoka asks. "I don't see you in these hallways all that often."
"I'm everywhere I tell ya." Jack chuckles as he gets up and walks around with the LOVEHEARTS bassist. "So what do you do when you're not with Aoi and the others?"
"I'm president of the light music club." Madoka replies.
"Wow, that's a pretty stark contrast I say." Jack chuckles.
"Ever since taking up the bass I've been playing it every now and then in the club. For an instrument meant to supplement something like heavy metal it's got a surprisingly mellow tone outside of it." Madoka says as they head into a fairly large room. It's full of instruments, some of them scattered about, and the overall mood of this room just makes you want to relax and drown out everything going on in the outside world with music. "There's not that many people in the club though. Ever since I was trashed by LOVEHEARTS and joined, a lot of people kinda left."
"That's pretty sad." Jack says. "Hey, if you want I can join."
"I-It's not like I don't get anyone else in here." Madoka replies. "It's just, not that many people stop by anymore."
"Well at least I'm here to keep you company." Jack says as Madoka pulls out her bass guitar and plays a random tune on it. Jack then picks up a flute and starts playing his own thing, and it catches Madoka's attention.
"I don't think I've heard you play the flute before." Madoka says.
"It's not something I normally play, but eh." Jack replies as he starts playing something else, and it's not long before Madoka starts catching on to what he's playing.
"I recognize that song! It came out of some game that I used to play when I was a kid..." Madoka says cheerily as she happily strums along to the song. Jack and Madoka give each other that look as they look back on old memories of playing this game and continuing to fill the club room with a beautiful music. Despite the flute playing such a cheery tone and the bass guitar a more melancholy one, the two mix together to form an almost uplifting tune. They play for a few more minutes before they decide to stop.
"Madoka-senpai, you've played that game before haven't you?" Jack asks.
"The whole thing, and it made me tear up so bad too!" Madoka replies.
"Once you really understand the game, you'll know why it was named as it was, and what it really means to be family." Jack says. "Hmm... Your turn Madoka-senpai. See if you can play something that I recognize." And with that, Madoka begins to play a timeless classic on her bass, and he follows along on the flute. If a gamer like Midori were to pass by, she probably would have stayed around until Jack and Madoka stopped playing, and then some. Finally the two stop and look at each other with another look of satisfaction.
"We really do link up, don't we?" Madoka asks.
"You're probably one of the coolest girls to hang around. Maybe I'll stop by more often and play some more with you." Jack replies.
"It's not like you have to join but I would definitely appreciate your company more often." Madoka says.
"If you ever want me to stop by, just shoot a text." Jack replies as he plays one last song on the flute. It's a short one, but it has a mysterious aura to it, an almost villainous one. "Whenever you call for me, listen for this tune, for I will be near by." He says in a mysterious tone as he plays the tune once more, much to Madoka's amusement.
"You're a funny guy you know that?" Madoka says. "I like that about you."
Jack's thoughts: I think I might like Madoka more than I do Aoi. I hope Aoi doesn't get jealous, heh. Anyways she's a pretty cool girl and practically a celebrity in my eyes as she's part of LOVEHEARTS.
*She'd have to juggle time with LOVEHEARTS and demon hunting, something I honestly think she's capable of. If Marceline of Adventure Time can turn an ax into a bass guitar, I think Madoka could do the same and give her instrument a little more edge. Lucifer's fortification would let her utilize an earthquake attack that could knock even the hardiest of demons to the ground, and the Goddess' fortification would allow Madoka to create powerful shockwaves and send the opposition flying.
