"Man I'm hungry." Jack mumbles to himself. He had eaten a lunch too small and now his stomach was rumbling once more, begging for some more food. Jack finds himself wandering the halls once more, and then he stumbles into a random classroom. It's practically devoid of life, except for a single first year student. She has black hair tied into black curly pigtails and secured with red ribbons, sky blue eyes, and she is currently gorging on various chocolates. "Are you going to hoard all of that chocolate to yourself?" He asks as he enters the classroom, getting the girl's attention.
"Who art thee?" The girl asks. "I haven't seen thee from around hither." Jack is initially dumbfounded before realizing that she's using old english, Shakespearean talk more precisely.
"I am Jack." Jack replies.
"I am the maiden of the black rose." The girl says. "Thee may calleth me, Otome. Thee speaketh like me?"
"I am a sire of many talents." Jack replies, matching her talk.
"May thee beest the gallant knight of the white rose?" Otome asks.
"if 't be true I am, I shalt beest." Jack says valiantly. "Do you do drama?" Jack then asks, dropping the Shakespearean talk for now.
"Boo." Otome mumbles jokingly. "I don't do drama actually. I'm part of the art club." She says as she passes some of her chocolates to Jack.
"What do you do in your free time then?" Jack asks.
"Eat sweets, watch anime, read." Otome replies.
"You've gotten the Shakespearean talk down to an art. You'd do pretty well as an actress." Jack says. "Actually, shall we test out our skill?"
"You really are a man of many talents, but where are we going to do this?" Otome asks.
"We can do it in this very classroom, as it's empty for now. We can craft a script on the fly." Jack replies. "Who knows, we might get an audience."
"If we do get an audience, we may as well give it our best then." Otome giggles as they move desks around to make some room. Once everything is set they create their characters and prepare to go for an impromptu play of sorts.
"Oh young maiden of the black rose, am I worthy of thy acceptance?"
"Ye art but a young, inexperienced knave, but thy bravery hath did earn thee a powerful name."
"I hath't slayed many of our enemies from up close and from afar. I am the lone sir yond coequal the grim reaper himself fears! But coequal then I hath't not did win the war 'gainst loneliness."
"What stabs at thy heart so gravely, young knave? Doth thee not hath't someone ye art in love with?"
"Yond is whither I am most vulnerable! For I hath't fallen for none other than the maiden of the black rose herself!"
"Surely you jest? I am royalty, ye art a mere young knave! Would 't ever worketh out?"
"I am a squire, almost eft for knighthood. Coequal if 't be true things don't worketh out, I wilt at each moment beest thy loyal leigeman, thy loyal guard."
"Peradventure thee may not needeth to worry about love any longer. Thee may standeth by mine side, as the gallant knight of the white rose. Doth complete thy training. I shalt reserve a position by mine side for thee."
"As thee wish. Not coequal thy worst enemies wilt dare mess with thee. Not with me by thy side. Peradventure 't is not thy love I seek, but mine desire to guard thee with mine very life."
"I am did touch by thy words. May we meeteth again, future knight of the white rose."
"May we meeteth again, maiden of the black rose."
While Jack and Otome didn't attract an audience, they were fairly satisfied with their short Shakespearean style play.
"We have to do this again some time!" Otome says.
Jack's thoughts: She is a really quirky girl. The way she can do that Shakespearean talk gives her a mysterious aura, one that you're intrigued by, one you want to explore more. I definitely look forward to the next time we decide to try to do a short play.
