"Man you always end up here somehow." A familiar voice chuckles as Jack regains his senses and looks at where he is right now. Almost unsurprisingly he's found himself at the infirmary with none other than Nurse Kurashiki looking over him. Her short blonde hair, secured with an odd hairclip, and her brown eyes have not changed one bit since the last time he saw her.
"What happened?" Jack asks.
"One of the girls found you on the floor, unconscious." Nurse Kurashiki replies. "It looked like you had taken quite the fall down the stairs."
"Oh boy..." Jack mumbles as a familiar girl emerges from behind the nurse. The band on her left arm, her short blue hair and mauve eyes are all that Jack needs to recognize her. "Hey Shizuka."
"You alright?" Shizuka asks right back. "I found you on the floor out cold."
"My head hurts but I think I'm alright." Jack replies. "Did someone push me or something because I can't exactly remember what happened."
"Well you had texted me saying you completed your last hour of community service and were about to head to the committee room to see me, and then according to footage that was caught, someone purposefully knocked you down the stairs. I was actually going to see you first before I heard your yelling as you fell." Shizuka explains. "I already have some of my committee members dealing with him."
"Thanks. At least justice is being served." Jack says.
"I don't know if you should be surprised but it was the same guy that was messing with you and Sango. He violated a rule we had set up that he couldn't come into contact with you again, so on top of him knocking you out we're really throwing the book at him." Shizuka chuckles before she leaves.
"Well, I guess you're under my watchful eye once more." Nurse Kurashiki giggles. "So it appears you've bruised up your leg pretty bad and you've got other bruises here and there. You'll have to rest these off here for a while and I don't think you'll be able to move much."
"Bugger." Jack mumbles.
"Don't worry, I had a girl drop by. She heard you fall down the stairs and knew that you might have ended up here. Someone by the last name of Sakaguchi?" Nurse Kurashiki says as she places a bento box in front of him.
"I didn't know Kasumi could cook." Jack chuckles, looking at the clock before opening up the box. Inside is some rice that looks like it's been sprinkled with soy sauce, various veggies including carrots, celery and bell peppers, and some chopsticks to eat with. "If she ever comes by to check up on me tell her I said thanks."
"Actually I think that's her right now!" Nurse Kurashiki says as Kasumi peeks around and checks in on Jack.
"Are you doing okay there?" Kasumi asks. "Liking the food?"
"I didn't think you could cook, this is pretty good." Jack replies. "Thanks." He adds as Kasumi stands at the foot of the bed he's resting on.
"I heard you yelling when you fell down but I didn't really know where you were. I just knew that you had been injured." Kasumi says.
"Well the most he's suffered is a lot of bruising. He won't be able to move around for a little while." Nurse Kurashiki says.
"Well at least you're okay." Kasumi says as she takes her leave. "Get better soon!"
"Thanks!" Jack calls out as he finishes eating the food and sets it to the side for Kasumi to come back and collect later on.
"All of these ladies that you've helped are more than grateful for what you've done. It's only fair they return the favor." Nurse Kurashiki says.
"Hey, I'm just doing what I can." Jack replies.
Jack's thoughts: I've seen her so many times I've lost count, but she's a nice person, and she's really caring. Do I think she's gotten tired of seeing me so many times? I don't really know, heh.
