"Extra! Extra! Read all about it!" A loud voice calls out in the hallways as Jack opens his eyes. He sees a girl with teal hair that she has styled with two white ribbons and her blue eyes are wide and energetic, as opposed to his sunken ones. "You look like you're a little sleepy! Read a little something! I hear it'll jog your mind quick!" She calls out as she tosses Jack a newspaper, and it ends up smacking him in the face. "Oops! Sorry about that! At least I got you awake!"
"Yeah, but I prefer not to be smacked in the face with a newspaper." Jack says as he gets on his feet. "Mind if I tag along?"
"Sure, I don't really care." The girl replies. "I'm Mihono."
"I'm Jack." Jack says as he reads the newspaper. He comes across a short comic strip, and Mihono notices that he's snickering.
"I see you've come across my comic strip." Mihono says. "You like it?"
"It's pretty funny yeah." Jack says. "I used to make little comic strips myself."
"Did you?" Mihono asks. "I would love to see them at some point!"
"But I stopped doing them. I don't think I kept any of them either." Jack replies.
"Wanna hear some juicy gossip?" Mihono asks excitedly. "Came fresh off the grapevine too!"
"I don't really want to, but thanks." Jack replies.
"Well too bad I'll tell you anyway." Mihono says, blatantly ignoring him. "I heard that there's been someone out on the streets who's been-" Jack quickly covers Mihono's mouth.
"That was me you saw. Now don't tell anyone else okay?" Jack asks. "Or you won't hear the end of it."
"Okay okay, geez." Miohono replies, her voice muffled by his hand before he lets go. "What were you doing out there?"
"None of your business." Jack says. "I don't know about you but I wouldn't spread rumors like that if I were you. Who knows if you'll anger the wrong person one day?" This makes Mihono stop and think for a moment before laughing.
"They're all just lighthearted!" Mihono guffaws.
"Good grief you're too much..." Jack mumbles as he begins to leave, but Mihono grabs his arm.
"Awww, did I get you all grumpy Mcgrumpyface?" Mihono teases.
"I'd stop that if I were you." Jack says.
"Come on! Chill out and relax a little bit! You're no fun!" Mihono continues to laugh until Jack forcefully yanks his arm out of her grasp, causing her to fall forward and drop her newspapers all over the place. "Ow!"
"I told you to stop." Jack says. "I'd stop spreading rumors if I were you."
"Boo." Mihono mumbles as he reluctantly helps her pick up the scattered newspapers. The walk is pretty uneventful from there on until Jack comes across an article on himself, something that Mihono notices.
"Well, that's definitely an... Interesting first impression of me." Jack says as he reads the article, depicting him as a strange, mysterious person. "What was your impression of me versus other guys?"
"You were definitely better than most guys." Mihono says. "Apparently the disciplinary committee gets multiple reports about the few guys at the academy perving on the girls or doing lewd stuff. Sometimes the committee forgets that you're even a student here because you're so... Is the word docile?"
"I'm not really sure." Jack says.
"I mean you've never been reported according to them so that's good." Mihono replies.
"And I plan to keep up the chivalry." Jack says. "I'm not like other guys."
"And I think all the girls can appreciate that." Mihono says. "Maybe I'll propose an article like that; call you in for an interview and everything."
"Hey, do whatever you want. You are part of the very club that produces these after all." Jack chuckles as they continue to walk around with the newspapers.
Jack's thoughts: She's got a big mouth and likes to spread rumors, but there's nothing that can really be stopped here. I just hope she doesn't anger the wrong person by accident.
