"YOOMI!" A VOICE screamed, snapping me out of my peaceful slumber. My eyes shot open as I turned over to face my little brother, a disappointed look on his face. He had a pillow clutched tightly under his arm, ready in case he needed to use it.
He sighed, "Finally. I've been trying to get you up all morning."
I rolled my eyes at him, ignoring his complaint and sitting up, "What time is it?"
"7:30," He spoke calmly. I widened my eyes at the time, mentally cursing at myself for being so tardy.
I jumped out of bed, pushing past my brother and making my way towards my closet. Pulling open the closet door, I quickly grabbed my uniform off of the hanger. I was about to change when I noticed my brother standing there, watching me silently.
"Make me breakfast?" I asked, shoving him out of the room in the process.
After hearing my request, he abruptly stopped in the doorway, turning around to face me, "What? No way. I'm not your maid."
I groaned at his refusal, "Come on Jaehyun, please! I'll do anything."
Jaehyun's lips slowly formed a devious smile, mischief sparkling in his eyes. He grinned, "Fine. You have to do my chores for two weeks straight and you owe me 20 dollars."
I stood there, staring at him in disbelief, "Yeah, I'm not doing that."
His eyes gleamed before a smirk spread across his lips, "Then I won't make you breakfast and you'll starve."
I turned towards my alarm clock to check the time. I was wasting so much time arguing with him. I looked back at him as he awaited my answer.
"Okay, okay, fine. Just hurry." I spoke, rushing him out of my room and shutting the door.
I pulled off my pajamas, slipping on my skirt and my white, long sleeve shirt. I tucked the shirt ends into my skirt, smoothing out the sides before cuffing the wristband. I ran into the bathroom, brushing my teeth and combing through the thick knots in my bed hair. I splashed some water in my face before drying off.
Heading back towards my room, I wrapped my tie around my collar. I pulled on my knee-high socks and hastily grabbed my bag. I sprinted down the stairs, almost tripping over my own feet.
Entering the kitchen, I was greeted with the delightful smell of fresh buttermilk pancakes and crispy strips of bacon. Jaehyun saw me, sliding a plate of food from across the table. I grinned, running over and hugging him, "Thank you, thank you."
He grimaced, trying to pull away from me, "Yeah, yeah. Just let go of me."
I pulled away from him, ruffling his hair before sitting down to enjoy breakfast. Using my knife and fork, I quickly cut pieces of my pancakes, chewing as fast as I could.
