"HEY JOON, CAN you hand me my soda?"
Namjoon nodded before handing the Coca Cola bottle to Jimin, who took a small sip from the can. Jungkook stood up, climbing out of his seat before making his way towards the grill. He pulled the top open, filling more meat on his small plate.
After spending a luxurious day at the beach, we headed over towards the park. The beach and the park were right beside one another, considering that they were both attractions that accompanied the hotel. The wide, open field of grass had several picnic tables scattered around, each table having its own barbecue. Beside the tables was a small playground, meant for kids to use to soothe their ecstatic spirits.
Jungkook and Yoongi bought meat from a convenience store down the road, considering Jin practically forced them to. We spent the rest of the afternoon in the park, enjoying the evening weather and gorging on spicy chicken and steamy kabobs.
I held the end of my skewer, using my mouth to bite the grilled pepper off of the stick. I melted at the taste, my taste buds dancing at the sweet flavor. For as long as I've known him, Jin has always been a really good cook. He definitely took after his mother, who wooed the town with her stunning delicacies at her small restaurant.
Taehyung, who was sitting beside me, raised a hand to Jungkook, calling his attention, "Can you pass me another drink?"
After hearing his request, Jungkook placed one hand under his plate before using the other to push open the cooler lid, grabbing a soda can before closing it. Jungkook sauntered towards the table, handing Taehyung the soda before taking his seat beside Hoseok.
I bit the last piece of chicken off of my stick, realizing that everyone finished by then. Jieun threw her arms behind her head, interlocking her hands as she stretched. She set them back down on the table, gleaming at Jin, "That was amazing. Thanks for cooking dinner, Jin."
Jin stood up from his seat, making his way to the grill, "No problem. None of these morons can cook as amazing as I can."
"Because you're so amazing," Jungkook mumbled, rolling his eyes at Jin's gigantic ego.
I snickered at Jungkook's comment, cupping my mouth with my hand. Namjoon stood from his seat, throwing away his garbage before walking back to our table.
"It's only 7:00 and we still have some time to kill before we hit the town, so what should we do?" Namjoon asked, his eyes scanning all of us.
Taehyung blankly stared at him, using his thumb to point at the small playground, "We could go on the playground."
"That's for little kids," Yoongi spoke, scrunching his nose at Taehyung's ridiculous idea.
"So?" Taehyung asked, raising an eyebrow at Yoongi. Silence followed after Taehyung's response, no one knew what to do. Everyone exchanged glances with each other, relaying some kind of telepathic message that I wasn't able to understand. I was about to stand up when Hoseok's voice radiated throughout the park.
