IVY'S POV
*its the last day of exams and i have my easiest test today. i get out of bed at 6:45am and walk into the bathroom. i braid my hair then wash my face. i brush my teeth and do my skincare routine before putting on a pair of gray leggings. i put joey's hoodie on and put my berks on. i walk into the kitchen with my phone and backpack. i facetime joey while i make scrambled eggs.*
joey- god damn my girl looks cute as fuck
ivy- stoppp i dont
joey- and she's wearing my hoodie
ivy- am not
joey- oh really?
ivy- yes really
*i laugh as i scramble the eggs in a small bowl and he smiles, watching me.*
ivy- do you not have class today babe?
joey- nope i got done with them yesterday
ivy- lucky
joey- you just have 2 hours till you're done with college
ivy- and then i see my baby forever
joey- plus our graduations are different days so we can go to each other's
ivy- i'm so excited
joey- me too baby
*i pour the eggs onto a plate and start eating while talking to joey. i rub my eyes and look at the time when i finish eating. it was 7:15 and i quickly rinse my plate off.*
ivy- hey babe, i have to go. i'll see you at the airport at noon okay?
joey- okay princess. good luck
ivy- thank you, i love you
joey- i love you too
*i hang up, shoving my phone in my pocket and walking out the door. i walk into class and the bell rings a few minutes later.*
teacher- good morning class. welcome to your last day of college. i'm going to pass out the tests so get your pencils out and don't talk.
*she passes everyone the test and walks back to her desk. i start reading the questions and answering them.*
{ time skip: 2 hours later }
*the bell rings and i turn my test in. i was the last to turn it in but i went over all of my answers. i walk out of class with a smile and start walking back to my dorm. i put my backpack by the door and walk right back out to my car. i start driving to the airport while listening to music when joey texts me.*

joey- hey baby, taking off right now. i'll see you in an hour. i love you

*i sing along to the music that i play off my phone on the aux. our song comes on and i smile big while listening to it. i think about how ill be at the airport on a few minutes and i'll see joey again. i park in the parking garage and get out, walking to where he will retrieve his suitcase.*
JOEY'S POV
*i stand up after everyone else and text ivy that i've landed. she responds with a picture of her smiling and i screenshot it before putting
my phone in my pocket. i stand in line to walk off the plane, getting frustrated because i want to see my girlfriend already. the line finally starts moving and i walk off the plane. i look at the signs to baggage claim and turn left at the gate. after 10 minutes of walking, i get on the escalators to go down one level. as i'm going down i see ivy and my face lights up. she makes eye contact with me and she breaks out into a smile. i quickly walk down the rest of the escalator and jog towards her. she wraps her arms around me and i pick her up, hugging back.*
ivy- my baby
joey- hi princess
ivy- i missed you so much
joey- i missed you so much more
*i put her down and she intertwines our fingers. i look down at her and smile big. she smiles back and kisses me. i kiss her back softly and holds her hands in mine.*
ivy- i love you so much
joey- i love you so much more. let's get my bag and head back to your dorm yeah?
ivy- yeah i still have to pack
joey- for once you're not prepared early
ivy- oh be quiet i had tests all week unlike my boyfriend
*i giggle and lead her over to the baggage claim. i wrap my arms around her from behind and she leans against me. i kiss the top of her head and look at the bags on the baggage claim belt. a few minutes later, i grab my bag from the belt and ivy holds my hand as we walk back to her car. we buckle in and she starts driving. i intertwine our fingers and she relaxes.*
ivy- i thought i was going to cry when i saw you
joey- awh baby, don't cry
ivy- i just, i missed you so much and this week was really stressful
joey- you got through it and i'm here now, that's all that matters
ivy- i know baby
*she rubs her thumb across my knuckles and i relax, laying back in my seat. after about an hour drive, we get to her college and she parks the car. she gets my suitcase out of the trunk and i take it from her, taking her hand in mine.*
ivy- i could've rolled it to my room baby
joey- don't worry about it princess, i got it
*i kiss her temple and we walk to her dorm. she unlocks the door and i walk in behind her. i put my suitcase by her bed and lay down. she giggles and lays down next to me.*
joey- i missed my baby
ivy- i missed you too love
*i play with her hair and she yawns, laying her head on my chest.*
joey- baby, you need to pack
ivy- can we just take a small nap for like an hour?
joey- if you're that tired then yes
ivy- yay free cuddles
*i giggle and play with her hair. she closes her eyes and falls asleep within a couple minutes. i smile and think about how the trip is going to be.*
