IVY'S POV
*i wipe my tears before we walk down the aisle hand in hand. he squeezes my hand three times and i smile big, squeezing his three times back. everyone follows us to the other room where the dance floor and food is. every one else finds a spot and joey brings me into the middle of the dance floor. i stand close to him and he grabs the microphone.*
joey- attention everyone! hey guys thank you for coming. we are going to do our first dance, then ivy will dance with my mom, and finally i will dance with my mom. we will talk to you guys after we love you
*everyone claps and the music starts. i lay my head on joey's chest and he leans his head on mine. we slowly sway back and forth and i glance up at him with a smile.*
ivy- i love you so much
joey- i love you more than you will ever imagine
ivy- i don't want to ruin the moment but i may cry later tonight
joey- i know baby, you don't need to apologize in advance
ivy- i can't believe you were my first and only boyfriend and now here we are
joey- He always has a plan
ivy- i like His plan
joey- me too princess
*i tear up from all the emotions and joey wipes my tears. i giggle quietly and the song comes to an end. he kisses me softly before walking off the dance floor. i turn and see his mom walking towards me. she takes me into her embrace and we start dancing to another slow song.*
jen- i'm really proud of you ivy
ivy- i just wish my mom or dad was here and i wish they were good people. i really wish skylar could be here, she always talked about being a bridesmaid
jen- she was one in spirit, you know that
*i nod and wipe my tears away. i see joey out of the corner blowing me a kiss and i smile softly. he smiles back and a few minutes later the song ends. i walk off and watch joey dance with his mom.*
{ after the dancing }
*joey walks over to me and intertwines our fingers. i smile big and hold onto his hand. he brings me over to meet some of his family members and i stand close to him, being nervous of them not liking me.*
joey- grandma, id like you to meet ivy
grandma- oh honey you're beautiful
ivy- awe thank you. it's nice to finally meet you
grandma- it's nice to meet you too, i always heard about you from his mom
*i giggle and hug her gently. she hugs back and looks at joey. joey chuckles and looks at her.*
joey- do you want to say something to me grandma?
grandma- yes i do. don't break this precious girl's heart or else you're going to see the bad side of me
joey- i promise that i won't hurt her. that would just hurt me
grandma- good because i can just tell she's an amazing girl. what do you do for a job ivy?
ivy- i work with the little kids at a hospital
grandma- and she's smart! you got a good one joseph
*i smile big and joey smiles, shaking his head slightly.*
joey- she's amazing grandma. i'm going to introduce her to everyone else now
grandma- okay i suppose i'll allow it. i will see you guys later
ivy- bye it was nice meeting you grandma birlem
grandma- oh i love her already
*we all laugh and i meet the rest of joey's family. i introduce him to a few of my cousins and aunts that came and they all love him.*
JOEY'S POV
joey- can everyone gather around? we are going to cut the cake
*the whole crowd walks over and i put my hand over ivy's hand on the knife. we carefully cut a piece of cake and feed each other a bite. she giggle and puts frosting on my nose. i smile big and wipe it off before cutting everyone a piece that wanted one.*
ivy- hey babe can you help me change out of my dress and into the one i brought to eat in?
joey- yeah let's go love
*we grab my other dress from our table and walk towards the bathroom. i lock the door and unzip her dress. she carefully takes it off and puts on the looser and less puffy white one.*
joey- you look just as beautiful but now i can hug you tighter
*ivy smiles big and wraps her arms around me. i hug back with my arms around her waist and squeeze her.*
ivy- i still can't believe it
joey- me either babygirl. this is the start of a whole new chapter
ivy- and we get to go to greece for our honeymoon, i'm so excited
joey- it's a well-needed vacation for sure
*i kiss her lips softly and she kisses back. i let my lips linger on hers for a few seconds before pulling away. she giggles and kisses my cheek.*
joey- let's go back to everyone
ivy- okay love
*we walk out with the dress in my hand. she puts it in a chair at our table and we join everyone to do the hokey pokey on the dance floor. during the game, ivy puts her left hand in instead of her right and starts laughing hysterically. i laugh and kiss her temple. she looks at me and smiles big, continuing the game.*
jen- joey i want to say something to everyone, can i?
joey- yes of course mom you don't have to ask
ivy- go ahead, talk for however long you want
*ivy and i sit down in our chairs along with everyone else and my mom grabs the microphone. she catches everyone's attention and soon enough, it is dead silent.*
jen- hello everyone. it is so nice to see you here to see my son and the love of his life get married. this day is just as important to me as it is to them in a way. i remember joey telling me about ivy when they met on the cruise and i could already tell that something was going to happen. they have always been head over heels for each other and i think that just from today, everyone here can agree. so i wanted to come up here and wish my son and my daughter-in-law the best life they could possibly have from now on. you guys are nothing but pure special people in everyone's life including mine and i only want the best for both of you. i love you guys
*my mom sniffles and ivy walks over to her, pulling her into a hug. i smile big and walk over, giving her a hug also.*
joey- hey mom?
ivy- we love you too
