IVY'S POV
*i park in the garage and we both out of the car. i carry his bag in for him and he opens the door for me. i put his bag down and his family walks in. i smile big and walk upstairs to change.*
ivy- i will be right back. i just want to change into leggings instead of jeans
jen- no worries sweetheart
sophia- don't take too long i want to give you another hug!
ivy- i won't be long soph
*i giggle and walk into the bathroom. i change into leggings and take off joey's jersey. i put on a t-shirt and walk out of the bathroom to see my boyfriend standing there waiting for me. i smile big and kiss him softly. he kisses back and hugs me tightly. i hug back and lay my head on his chest.*
joey- thank you for planning this baby
ivy- i know how bad you wanted them to see you but i'm sorry they can't stay long
joey- it's okay, at least they saw me play today. that's all that matters right?
ivy- you're right. i love you and you did amazing today baby
joey- i love you more, thank you again princess
ivy- you're always welcome
*he kisses all over my face and i giggle. he smiles big, causing me to smile back before he walks into the bathroom to clean up. i walk downstairs and hug sophia. she hugs back and jen laughs a little.*
jen- you two never get old
sophia- she's like my best friend
bella- i thought i was?!
sophia- i can have more than one you weirdo
*i shake my head while laughing and offer them water. they all nod and i bring 3 water bottles over to the couch. i sit down next to jen and she puts her arm around me.*
jen- i know we are only here till tuesday so i was thinking maybe you want to go look at some wedding dresses
ivy- yeah we can, but we can't spend all day out because joey has a rest day tomorrow and i know he wants to spend time with all of us together
jen- if us four girls get up at 7 and are back by 10 or 10:30 then we have all day together. does that sound good?
ivy- yeah i'll talk to him about it
joey- talk to me about what?
ivy- they want to take me to look for wedding dresses tomorrow at 7 so we can be back by 10 or 10:30
joey- i'll sleep in so you guys can go, don't worry about it
ivy- they know that you want to spend time together with them. don't hide it babe
joey- how do they know?
sophia- uh hello
bella- she's your girlfriend dumbo
*i laugh and lay my head on joey's chest once he sits down. he chuckles and rests his head in his hand.*
joey- okay okay i do. so don't be gone for too long
jen- we won't joseph. now let's go out to dinner to celebrate your big win
JOEY'S POV
{ 30 minutes later }
*i order a regular burrito with horchata and hold ivy's leg under the table. she orders the same thing as me and hands the menu to our waiter. sophia, bella, and my mom order after us and i kiss ivy's temple. she looks at me and smiles, causing me to smile back. she lays her head on my shoulder and shivers.*
joey- are you cold baby?
ivy- a little bit, but i'm okay love
joey- i can give you my hoodie
ivy- it's okay i don't want you to be cold
*i take my hand off her leg and wrap it around her small body. she smiles and we start talking to everyone else.*
jen- how have you been feeling ivy?
ivy- i've been good. i haven't gotten sick again and i'm officially working at the hospital with the newborns
bella- that's amazing. when did you start working?
ivy- last week or the week before. it's going really well
jen- that's amazing. i'm so proud of you congratulations
bella- what she said
*bella giggles and sophia agrees. i look at ivy and she's smiling. i smile and she thanks them. our food comes and we all start eating, making the conversations die down.*
{ 45 minutes later }
*i watch my mom pull out her wallet but ivy quickly grabs the bill and puts it in front of us. i laugh hard as my mom groans. ivy giggles and i put my credit card on the tray. i hand it to our waiter and sophia starts laughing at her.*
jen- i could've paid joey
joey- mom, you already have to buy the tickets to come visit us. let ivy and i pay every once in awhile, we are adults now
jen- don't say that it makes me upset
joey- i'm sorry mom. but you know i'll always be your little boy
jen- you better be serious
joey- i am, i wouldnt just say that
jen- okay good
*the waiter brings back my card and i thank him, taking it back. i put my wallet in my pocket and stand up. ivy stands up after me, along with everyone else and we all walk out to ivy's car. i get in the driver's seat and start the car once everyone is buckled in. i lean over to ivy and whisper.*
joey- what should we do?
ivy- ask if they want to go mini golfing?
joey- good idea baby. hey do you guys want to go mini golfing?
jen- that could be fun. i'll go if the other two are okay with it
sophia- yes let's go! it sounds so fun!
bella- i'm down. let's get the party started
ivy- oh no what have we done?
*i laugh and back out of the parking spot. i drive onto the main road and head towards the arcade and mini golfing place.*
