{ time skip: 1 week later }
IVY'S POV
*joey and i got back home late last night and i woke up having to throw up. i run into the bathroom and shut the door before kneeling over the toilet. everything in my stomach comes up and i flush the toilet once i'm done. i brush my teeth and wipe my mouth off. i walk back to bed and lay down next to joey. he turns on his side to face me and i look up at him.*
joey- baby.. are you feeling okay?
ivy- yeah i just threw up. i had the feeling to, i don't know why
joey- do you think it's because of what happened last week?
ivy- i don't know. it could be but then again, i could just be getting sick
joey- i can go to the store later and get some tests just in case
ivy- you can if you want. i don't want you doing everything though. i can always go get them
joey- don't worry baby. try to go back to sleep though, it's early
*i nod and close my eyes before falling back asleep in his arms. i wake up 2 hours later around 9:30am and rub my eyes. joey wasn't in bed so i check my phone and he sent a text saying he went to the store to get pregnancy tests. i walk downstairs and make an omelet. i had a weird craving for one and i never think of eating omelets for breakfast. i put the dirty dishes in the sink and sit on the couch to eat. i watch tv and joey walks into the house.*
joey- good morning sleepyhead
ivy- good morning babe
joey- hm smells like eggs?
ivy- i had a weird craving for an omelet don't judge me
*i giggle and he kisses me softly. i kiss back and put my plate on the table.*
ivy- i'm going to go take the tests, i'll be right back okay?
joey- okay princess no worries
*i stand up and kiss his cheek as a thank you before taking the bag and walking into the bathroom. i lock the door and take the test. i lay the pregnancy test on the counter and look at myself in the mirror. i rub my stomach, imagining me with a baby inside and take a deep breath. after 5 minutes, i pick up the test and look at it. it read "pregnant". i smile big to myself and walk over to joey, hiding my smile.*
joey- what did it say baby?
ivy- close your eyes
joey- what?
ivy- babe close your eyes please and put your hand out
*he does as i say and i lay the test in his hand. i sit down next to him and take a deep breath.*
ivy- anddd open
*he opens his eyes and reads the test. his jaw drops and i tear up smiling. he looks me with a big smile and starts tearing up also.*
joey- you're kidding! baby we're having a baby!!
JOEY'S POV
*i hug her tightly and she hugs back. we cry onto each other's shoulders for a few minutes before i pull away and wipe her tears. she giggles and lays her head on my chest.*
ivy- i'm so excited
joey- i am too love
ivy- new adventuresss
joey- we should fly family out once we know the gender to surprise them
ivy- that would be so fun. imagine your mom's reaction. that's going to make me cry
joey- i'm going to be crying no matter what
ivy- well me too
*she laughs and i smile big. she sits up and finishes eating her omelet before laying her head back on my chest.*
ivy- you're going to be a great dad you know that right babe?
joey- and you're going to be an amazing mom
ivy- you could be the only man in the house
joey- i wouldn't mind that. she'd probably look like you and that's adorable
*she blushes and hides her face in my chest. i giggle and rub her back. she hugs me tightly and i hug back.*
ivy- i love you so much
joey- i love you so much more
