JOEY'S POV
*i let ivy pay for our lunch and i stand up, putting my hand out for her. she grabs my hand and i intertwine our fingers, walking towards the water. i hold her close to me and she leans onto me, holding my hand. i kiss her forehead and she looks at me with a smile. i smile back and we walk along the water.*
joey- i know this isn't anything special yet but i promise it gets better
ivy- don't worry about me not thinking it's special baby, everything you do for me is special
joey- wait really? you think that?
ivy- yes of course
*i smile big and pull her into the water. she refuses so i pick her up, making sure no one will be able to see up her dress and carry her in. she wraps her arms around neck tightly and looks at me. i walk in where it'll stop at her knees and put her down. she holds onto me and looks at me with a serious face.*
joey- what's wrong babyy?
ivy- you know whattt
joey- i do not
*she turns away from me and i wrap my arms around her waist. i tickle her gently and she starts laughing uncontrollably. i smile big and she intertwines our fingers, running out of the water. i run next to her and look at her. she giggles.*
{ time skip: 1 hour later }
joey- well we've been walking for about an hour, it's time for the scavenger hunt. you go back to the villa and i'll be at the end
ivy- promise you'll be waiting?
joey- why wouldn't i be princess?
ivy- you're right
joey- i love you, ill see you soon i promise you
ivy- i love you too
*i kiss her softly and she kisses back. i play with her hair and she lays her head on my chest. i kiss the top of her head and she wraps her arms around my torso.*
ivy- can we just stay for a little bit longer?
joey- yeah, we can sit down baby
*i sit on the sand and she sits down next to me. i lay back and rub her back while she looks at the water. she looks back at me with a smile and i smile back. she puts her hand on my leg and taps her finger while we watch the water come in waves.*
ivy- thank you again for this
joey- you don't need to thank me baby
ivy- but i want to. this has been my dream vacation forever and you made it come true
joey- you always said how you would want to go with your sister and stay in a villa but after everything happened, i knew it would be hard for you to go at first
ivy- yeah, i didn't really want to go anymore when it first happened
joey- i know you didn't baby, but you've been more comfortable talking about her so i figured this trip would be perfect. she's still with you and she's watching you right now, seeing how happy you are
*she nods and hugs me tightly. i hug back and rub her back softly. she stands up, allowing me to stand up with her.*
joey- let's start the scavenger hunt now, i'll see you in 45 minutes
ivy- okay i love you so much baby
joey- i love you more princess
*she smiles and walks the opposite way of me, going back to the villa. i walk to the flower field that i will be waiting for her at.*
IVY'S POV
*i get to the villa and one of the ladies hand me the first note. it says "go to the place where we first went when walking into the villa" in joey's writing. i giggle and walk over to the bed. i grab the note and it says "walk to the bottom of the hill we walked this morning." i take the rose with the note and start walking towards the hill. i get there 15 minutes later and see a rose with a note on the bench. i sit down and unfold it, starting to read. "i love you so much and going on the boat when we first got here was shocking. get on that boat and head to the next stop." i giggle to myself and see the same guy from the other day. i get on the boat and sit down.*
driver- so how is your day so far?
ivy- it's really good. he's amazing
driver- oh by the way, i'm bringing you to a small lake
ivy- oh okay, that'll be nice
*he drops me off at the lake and i take the last note off of a bench. it says "last note princess, walk to your right for five minutes and i will be waiting." i giggle and hold the rose while walking to the right. i look at the flowers and before i know it, joey is standing in front of me. i smile big and hug him. he hugs back and i kiss his cheek softly.*
ivy- thank you baby, it was beautiful
joey- you're welcome love but it's not over yet
ivy- what do you mean?
*i look at him with confusion as he pulls something out of his pocket. he gets on one knee and tear up, figuring out what was going on. he takes my left hand and i put my right hand over my mouth as tears fill my eyes.*
joey- ivy, you have been nothing but wonderful to me. we've both gone through hard times alone and together but it didn't stop us. i'm so glad it didn't because before i met you, i was so unhappy. you make me a better person each day and loving you everyday has become such a habit that if i didn't do this soon, i would be going crazy. the morning i told you i had to go to class early, i went to the jewelry shop to look at rings. i found the perfect one for you and seeing the look on your face right now, i can tell you're in shock. i love you with all my heart and nothing will ever stop me from loving you. you're the most genuine, understanding, and beautiful girl i know. we have officially been together for four years at 5:30pm and right now it's 5:30pm four years later. i matched up the times so they were exactly the same for you. so ivy, will you marry me?
ivy- yes yes yes. oh my god
*he slides the ring onto my finger and i cry harder than i was before. i wrap my arms around him and he hugs back, holding me close. i cry softly on his shoulder and he wipes my tears, kissing my forehead. i connect our lips and hold his face in my hands. he kisses back and puts his hands on my waist, bending me slightly.*
ivy- i love you so much joey birlem
joey- and i love you so much more ivy birlem
ivy- you're amazing
joey- you're so cute, you're still in shock aren't you?
ivy- yes i can't believe it
joey- believe it baby, we are getting married
